Mine was way out dealer tilt me that “we don’t have the proper brp fixture for the dial indicator though so we have to order it first” it was on back order until January. They couldn’t fasten a piece of steel to it or use a dial indicator with a vise grip attachment though wanted my sled to sit from October until December or January lol needless to say I bought my own motor

Why wouldn’t you just take it to another dealer that had the right tools when they said that? Or was it not going to be warranty?

I was going to be coved I checked it my self and they check it and agreed it was way out. I was running out of time they took longer then expected. I had a turbo I wanted to install on the sled and Tom from Mots told me he would give me a year warranty on it even with a turbo gave me a great price with a pinned crank, woosner rod and woosner pistons I buy lots from him like 7 or 8 long blocks this year so they take care of us. Was a better option in the long run

Just checked the compression in my 2015 T3 174" track with 7000 km. Was a perfect 150 on each side. The crank bearings needed grease. They were dry.

Did you strip it down to grease the crank or just pull the seal and do the PTO side?

how can one tell when the crank is out of phase exactly?

I imagine it would need to be checked dynamically on a balance machine? In industry we do running phase checks with a strobe light timed to the known rpm. Might be able to statically check it on knife edges?
