one really dumb post !!! LOL... Man u are a master at back-pedalling buddy, this and later in the thread you want to race pulling a trailer with bricks, heeheehee. I'll bet you could come up with silly, inconclusive irrelavent self serving facts about every product you own that are designed to illustrate your junk is better than our junk. Your argument really really went south when you commented " we're just smarter". LOL. Glad you like your heavy quad styled with Dodge Caravan mini-van type qualities . Just think if you can gain twenty pounds or so or maybe always ride double when you head into a mud hole, the performance will really shine.
I think I won the argument since your so uptight about the facts....still trying to drag something from a Can Am other than racing but again your post just reflects racing again. Now somehow pulling a trailer with a utility quad is not for competition.....WOW I guess when I make it up a hill with more wood for my camp, then that will serve my purpose and be glad I did not buy a Can Am that would have fell short. If you ride open trails, the Can Am is more fun if not buy a Polaris and give up.

Lets look at facts some say I am using a promo video for facts, so lets take a look at what you can't argue about. Can Am in this post still calls out better race quad, so we all agree to a point, but not for every situation....what else do you got.....nothing.

Polaris-more pulling power (Engineered fact, the quad weighs more with equal power...it will pull a bigger load, you can't argue this or your just dumb)
Can AM - better race quad

Polaris - better 4x4 system here is a you tube video of a 2010 Can Am with a demonstration of visco loc....it's still garbage and a lot slower than awd...on the older polaris's awd drive was not to good, I had the 500HO and did not like it because there was throttle lag to get over obstacles, but now that I have power awd is the way to go.
Can Am - better race quad

Polaris - Better suspension with more travel, comfortablest ride available. HAHAHAHA.......more travel...ya I guess the promo fudged that too HAAHAHAHA...heheheheheeeeeeeeee
Can Am -better race quad

Polaris - Better engine braking for downhill assists...........sorry i'm still laughing, somehow more engine braking was fudged in the promo ad.....NOT.....hahahahah......can't argue a fact whether it's a promo or not.
Can Am - better race quad

Polaris - better price, so with the extra money I can do a lot of things to step all over a stock Can AM even more so. This wasn't on the promo ad but you can call your local dealers to find out...and yes somehow the Polaris is still cheaper....just a fact....you will have to get use to that.
Can Am -better race quad

Polaris - more sales- I wonder why- is this not how we elect presidents....majority rules so The Polaris 850 XP gets the presidential award, would it not? You can research this, I read it in a magazine so I know it will hold up if you want to research the net???
Can Am - better race quad

Polaris racks front and back carry more weight.....can't argue that it's just a fact.

Polaris - stronger frame You can argue this but you'd be laughed off this forum but your likely already there.
Can Am -better race quad

Alright shenry. Stop arguing because no one is arguing back. We all have our viewpoints and bought the quads we did because we decided they were the quad that we wanted. Stop repeating yourself.

I was OK and never did want to have to repeat myself, but LennyR opened up the can of worms again. Anyone wants to dish it out, I will through it back again and again. What else did you expect. And I guess everyone should just stop because this would be just some stupid thread then. Why even post 800 Can Am vs Polaris 850XP if we are just coming to your conclusion that what we like is what we buy....duh. So we are all f%cking retarded....Amen.

I have both, I ride Can Am, my wife rides Polaris.

There you have it, Can Am is a mans bike, Polaris is a girls bike.

Now this thread can end, everything has been settled.

:nono:Maybe you force your wife to ride the heavier bike because your not man enough to sit on a XP 850. Maybe your wife is the man of the house who gets what she wants and of course she's going to drive the XP, or maybe your just gentleman enough to give her the better bike.:nono:

Can-am made a 1000... Hows that for worms!!! ;) If it holds up, then good for Can Am....way to go, hope they fixed all their other weaknesses over the XP that no one can argue about.

Like I said you have nothing else but race built into your head. I already ate my wheaties and I said so before...too bad you can't eat yours. Instead of defending the 800 Can Am.....the Can Am "for" players have turned to personal attacks. Yes I am a master at back-pedalling...why...because i'm humble, I take it and give it. Looks like your the one trying to back-pedal. Actually I am a master at a lot of things, like buying the right quad.

Lets call these machines sport utility, everyone can agree with that.

Can Am-more sporty, can still hold it's own in the utility field, falls short on comfort.
Polaris - more utility, can still hold it's own in the sport class, falls short on being slender.

I think u may be right Dave. Thank god he didn't buy an asian knock-off, it would still be the bomb, but I worry he'd pull a creative muscle trying to expound on the virtues and why it is better than ................. anyone elses whatever. LOL.

PS ; shenry you have a good day now, on your utility quad. Hey can u guys get a bolt-on dual rear wheel kit for those ? Then u can haul your camper and pull a boat.
