It looked like it did better in the second pass when you guys took a track to run on from what I could tell by the vid? Should seperate more I would think on a powder pull uphill when you really load everything up.

Yes, it seems the new turbo performs better when the engine is loaded. Will be fun to compare them both again when the snow is deeper and hills are steeper. I am very sure the turbo was not designed to lake race at 5500’.

Pretty sure the Alpha wasn't designed to lake race at 5500' either....

That's cause the track isn't very good......
And the skid doesn't put the power to the ground......

The Alpha did pretty good considering that it should have been down 20hp at 5500'.
There may be a wider spread on an uphill pull but still an impressive show by the cat.
If the cat was in lockout it was an unfair race.

Actually its 28 ish hp if the benchmark is 165 which makes it more impressive yet. That being said I am thinking Niners Alpha may not be running completely stock. The extra power of the Doo will show up more in that race than it will in powder, the Alpha will narrow the gap in deep snow with a better track and better power transfer. Before the seasons over someone will post a video of the Alpha whooping on the turbo Doo. Just sayin

No my Alpha isn’t stock, y-pipe and head and clutching, wrap and fancy bumpers. There is no way my sled will be whooping a doo turbo. I hope to be in the mix though which is half the fun. We have put a ton of work into the Alpha and it’s really good but the new doo is pretty awesome right out of the box and will only get faster with some clutching refinements.

The new doo is awesome, fantastic job done by them and they will sell piles, I was the one racing on Niners sled and I will tell you unbiased that that Alpha also rips super hard and is impressive but also with our testing this weekend Dragonwelds Alphalaris is looking even stronger, go figure that eh!
