Re: 2019 release dates ??

Like the w12 shape but 3 cylinders dean?

No I was thinking more like a current snowmobile engine in its current orientation....but with the middle cylinder rocked forward or backwards from the outside two, and those two rocked the opposite way. Yeah I realize that plumbing it in would definitely be more difficult than a twin but probably doable.

Yeah something like that. Like if you look on the bottom and take the first 3 cylinders on either the left or right. I had pictured mono cylinders with room to get the exhaust through the outside two, but if a person could make the plumbing work on this it would be even more compact.

Plumbing would be tough in a sled for sure but these V5 engines were making monster power in MotoGP years ago. 990cc putting out at least 240HP with natural aspiration. Old two stroke GP bikes were pretty trick in their multi cylinder layouts too with V4’s and Square 4’s, much easier to layout exhaust and intake in a race bike than a sled though.

You must of gotten into some Doolaid for that comment, your starting to sound like a Dootard.

Maybe a new look for the Doo would be a good change for 2019. What an ugly duck...quack, quack

Is that why you were considering one last year?

Wasn't it Marvelous Marv Jorgenson?
SnoPro - You ever come across any of the laid down Rotary valved Rotax's of the late 90's? :) I never did see the V-block setup, but know it existed with the rotary valve between the two cylinders.

Re: 2019 release dates ??

2lb heavier and looks like a minimum of 35 more hp and a minimum of 1350 more rpm.
sounds like a winner to me haha
Trick should be the exhaust system and meeting the db requirements. A crack engineering team should be able to solve it.

Add all the extra exhaust, it would be more than 2lbs. Be better just adding a turbo IMO.
Also it would have to be electric start. Doubt you would be pulling that over so more weight there too.

Used to start my vmax4 with a rewind was a bit of a feat at -40 had to roll it over one cylinder at a time for a few minutes then she would fire right up so v4 or inline 4 be about the same, thundercat back in the day was same way no estart.

Took the words right out of my mouth! We used to pull a rope on all high compression stuff until the last few years. People are so weak these days lmao!
