not alot on here posting conditions, is that a sign of poor conditions or is it the cold weather and not many headed out. i know for alot who try to ride everyweekend when its this cold are staying home but for the ones who only ride mountains a few times a year you would think would not cancel there trip and go. with this cold snap are people riding less. if it warms up with a fresh dump of pow imo the hills will be packed.

Lots of people are riding around home Alberta for the first time in years. I am thinking that’s why we aren’t seeing the condition reports as much

1200 miles local this year. Only 5 sled trips west. Usually I’d be at 15-20 west trips already. Alberta has great snow where I’m riding. The mountains need a big storm. Till then it’s rivers ditches and fields

We had a decent day at Clemina today. It's pretty pounded but that just means you gotta push your comfort zone and smash some trees! Was a little chilly headed up the trail but clear skies and a little warmer up top. The sun is starting to feel a lot warmer.

Hardly looks like tree riding

Rode Allan on Sunday. Managed to find a couple pockets of 6”-1ft of “fresh”. And I really had to look, which usually involves pulleys and ropes. LOL

The constant wind in the alpine has really done a number on the conditions on almost all aspects. The main areas are very pounded out. The fresh we did find was inconsistent and left wind crusts to break through. Overall we need snow in a bad way. Can we all please bow our heads and pray. On a positive note the trails are holding up beautifully. Great time to take the family up and take in some scenery!

Basically same conditions we found, found the riding at 4000 feet in the trees was better than the high elevation riding

Sun, sun and more sun. It’s a beautiful time to be up in mountains as the blue skies can’t be beat. Conditions wise, the common areas are ridden quite hard as we have not had a large amount of fresh snow for almost three weeks now. It’s the perfect time to share your love of sledding with someone new as the alpine travel is easy and the views are spectacular. As always, there are fresh lines out there if you go looking and every day on the mountain a good day. The trees are still holding some great quality snow and we have been having some incredible days in the sheltered timber.

Out of boredom any guesses as to when the snow will slide off the roof of the clemina cabin? My guess will be march 23rd for the side that is visible in Varda's pic.
