Any update on snow conditions? Looks like it is warming up on the coast so thinking about heading up that way to find the good stuff. Rode in Blue River a few years ago and we had a blast.

Rode Salmon on Monday and conditions were great. Snow was deep and getting stuck was the common trend.

Yes. There was 2 other groups in the area and we ventured the furthest back. Which wasn't that far, so stilll of snow.

Found lots of fresh at salmon today had quite a few stucks as well in the trees about 2 inches of new snow great time thank you blue river

Chappell was half decent. We found snow in the trees. Blue bird most of the day. Needs a reload though.

Rode salmon and holy grail lots of tracks found some fresh but sure needs a reload I have never seen so many sledders riding these areas

We rode groundhog east yesterday. Pushed back fairly far and found some untouched areas

How do you 'push back' in groundhog? That whole area is accessable in about an hour without any real knowledge of the terrain and it's sounded by closures. We rode big blue yesterday. 8-10" of heavy snow on top of a soft base. Lack of sun was the bigger disappointment. Rider numbers seem to go up every year. Blue River has long since been a secret, the fin Creek parking lot fills up on week days 2 weeks after a major dump. at least the grooming is top shelf.

Not sure where else you ride but our group consistently finds blue river trails to be susbtatially worse than anywhere else we ride. Bad enough to the point we feel we shouldn’t have to pay the non existent groomer a fee to use the “groomed”trails

A groomed trail is nice but you have to remember the $25 "trail" fee is also going to the club to pay for permits, studies, extending parking lots, brushing etc. to keep these areas open so that you can go out and enjoy the backcountry without breaking any laws. I have been involved in the club before in the past and can attest to the amount of man hours it takes just to keep an area open. Especially in this day in age when everyone is ultra environmentally conscious. Also consider that blue river is a growing club, they don't get the numbers that VARDA or other places get, and they groom a chit load of trail... over 140km's I think. and they have 11 areas accessible by groomed trail, which is more than most.
