Top of fracture was 45cm with runout up to 2m deep.
Sled triggered but no one involved
Snow was soft in runout.
Sleds in bottom left of picture for size reference

Safe to assume you don't break in there until it has slid. To do other wise would be kinda foolish.

Nevermind... I think I just got my answer.

We rode Coulees Friday. Chilly but a good day. Wind slabs in some areas especially on ridges and peaks. Averaged about a foot of fresh in most areas.

Thats slide was from someone prior to us. It may have been same area. Basically at the top of the drainage area on the left side. We passed it and dropped down over the right. Conditions were good there. Just two of us all day.

Yikes!
That will lay down and slide at -2 to +2°C crossing the freeze point.

The pic of the slide was one guy we know turning out just a little into what we just said would not be stable. Turned out to wide from the trees but not much really, was a fairly slow runout.
Was a 25-30° slope.
