Rode Clemina on Sunday, trial is still holding on, getting slushy and wet at bottom 1 k. From there it's gets better once your at about km 8 it's great. We rode in 10"-24" fresh for the morning, untouched. The sun came out for a great day. Then headed to the cabin for a few minutes ran in to will. Seen the red shovel handle on the drying rack. Still lots of good snow to be found. Surprised at some of the high marks way up on loaded hills. Be careful people, some of these hills are loaded and going to let go, when..anytime. Think before you ride.

Sledded Chappell on Thursday. Snow was unreal and lots of it. Trail in was great. Hats off to VARDA. Lost a fuel caddy on the way up. Whoever found it, Merry Christmas and a happy new year. 20170330_141948.jpg 20170330_141923.jpg 20170330_141932.jpg

Here is a video of the same hill that slide earlier this week.
This hill slide every year. A couple of years when they held the hill climb on this hill, Vinnie worked with avalanche control who used dynamite just before the races
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuU...s will take you to the Hillclimb riding area.

So far, we have had quite an amazing spring. Riding conditions have been excellent in the alpine and there has been plenty of snow to be had. As of now, trail access is still good with snow beginning directly from the staging areas with full cover on the trails. Small spots may be beginning to show but I mean small. Staging areas are dry although the snowline begins immediately at the collection huts. Spring temperatures can cause havoc on the lower trails. Things can get a bit slushy down there and the valley bottom sections of trail are not holding up very well after our regular grooms, but once you gain elevation things are back to normal.

Spring is a very difficult time of year to predict snow levels and so far we have been receiving reloads almost nightly. This time of year, you really never know when its going to hammer down and very often we get surprised with some amazing snowfalls up in the mountains that were not in the forecast, so our advice is to take the gamble and get out for a ride!

We are getting down to the wire with grooming and things may change day to day. We will continue to do our best until the effort is no longer producing positive results for the trail surface and rider ease.

The forecast is looking good for some fresh snow over the weekend. Fingers crossed that we get one of those great spring reloads.

The groomers will be out on all three trails this evening.

I was in keyhole last sunday, starting to show rocks until you hit the logging road. I'd say this will be last weekend before you'll drive up with sled decks.
