Riding conditions have been amazing over the last week. Spring riding is certainly a roll of the dice as you never know what to expect although so far the alpine has been getting regular reloads of nice, cold snow. For now, the access trails are in good shape with full snow cover from the staging areas and we are looking forward to a normal length grooming season this year if the winter weather keeps up. We are getting rain down low and this is messing with the quality and longevity of the lower trails. We will run that machines as long as we can make a difference in quality and for now we certainly are.

Spring is a very difficult time of year to predict snow levels. Although we have been receiving reloads almost nightly. This time of year, you really never know when its going to hammer down and very often we get surprised with some amazing snowfalls up in the mountains that were not in the forecast, so our advice is to take the gamble and get out for a ride!

Excellent riding out there yesterday. Here are a few pics from Chappell and Allen Creek

VARDA is hosting the British Columbia Snowmobile Federations Annual Spring Meeting this weekend. If you are out and about and recognize a volunteer, please say thank you!

Ride safe!

Is there going to be grooming next week? As we are thinking about coming to your fine area for a few days.

Rode Clemina yesterday, most of the day in morning glory was a great ride. 1-2' in there. Trail was great. parking lot was down to gravel with some mud
Then headed to Bauers. Large avy at hillclimb hill approximately 400m across cleared the entire mountain down to the ground. The east side went with a 30m runout the north side had a 40 m runout. Trees and debris scattered the area.

Allen creek was also excellent yesterday when sun poked out for the afternoon.
Still lots to hammer once past avy alley.
Saw no slide activity.
Lots of snow bikes out!

Two days at Allen -excellent riding area that I will be heading to more often!

rode clemina today, conditions are great, rode in a area for quite a few hrs which was untouched pow,met rknight and mike270412 who came in there also. lots of good riding to be had right now, trail is good as long as it quits raining down low,if you have time off work and want to ride vale is great.avi slide that was previously talked about happened on sat and is approx 1kmh across, alot of depth at bottom.nobody was in slide but 3 people did a beacon search as they where right there and did not know if anybody was involved.good on them looking out and spending the time to search for a slide that size could of caught people and being that size no matter where you are watching from you would not be able to see the whole slide to know if anybody was involved. ride safe out there
