Does anyone know how the access is to Chappel, Allen, or Clemina?

rode Clemina on the 13th, a bit of gravel but overall really good, lots of fresh snow and still cold enough, Allen on the 11th with very few tracks past the wall, one of my best rides of the year

Sadly another season of grooming operations in the Valemount area has come to an end. While we have put away the groomers for the season, we most certainly are not done with sledding. The current weather forecast even has hopes of some new snow for us to play in over the next week.

Access is thinning quickly and if you are a spring snow seeker, you cannot be afraid to get your ski's dirty.

Clemina is pretty wet and dirty for the first km from the staging area although a cleaner access is possible from the FSR pullout another couple hundred meters down the highway. As of Sunday there was almost complete snow cover on the Allen Creek trail from the Toll shack, although that too is disappearing quickly. Chappell is pretty bad with cover on the switchbacks although had some reports of amazing snow in there this weekend.

It has been an amazing season and we can't thank all of our sponsors, guests and general supporters of Valemount enough. We sincerely hope you have enjoyed our amazing mountains and exceptional hospitality and please know, that we will be busy working away this summer to insure that next season will be even better! Keep your eyes out for the unveiling of our new website in the next couple of months and lets keep our fingers crossed that approvals will be in with enough time to construct our new cabin in the Clemina Creek area.

We will continue to update our website valemountrecdevelopment.com as well as our Facebook page, facebook.com/ridevalemount with updated information as spring closes in on us.

In the meantime continue to look for updated information and feel free to contact us anytime by email at varda@valemount.ca or by phone at 250-566-4817 for direct information.

Enjoy the spring snow and ride safe!
