There is a new fax from Scott Swenson, Vice President Snowmobile Division, that was sent out on June 29. No real new information but it does outline a time table.

July 15 – Technical update. We find out what the fix is.
July 22-23 – Dealer sales meeting. Reps available to answer questions.
Mid August – Service bulletin will be issued subject to the timing of the EPA approval. New parts will be available. Consumer letter will be sent out.
September 1 – 2010 retail programs commence.

All I got until the 15th.

OK here‘s the goods.

08-09 IQ and Switchback – New cylinder head, new stronger dual ring pistons, new silencer, and new mapping including new engine protection for detonation and overheating.

08-09 RMK - New cylinder head, new stronger dual ring pistons, and new mapping including new engine protection for detonation and overheating. (No new silencer for the RMK)

More explanation of the changes will probably come out next week after the dealer meeting.

Haven’t heard anything at all. Something should be coming soon. Polaris has got be gearing up for the 2010 production by now. I hope we can get things fixed before the fall. I want to do some mods (SLP pipe, PC3), but I’m not spending a dime on this sled until after they do the recall. I already finished mods to my wife’s Phazer. Now I need something else to work on to pass the summer boredom.:d

what is a PC3?

Well 3 engines later, only 922 km and our dealer and polaris will not go good for it. Cannot get a straight answer from them what the problems is, get the run around, 3 snowmobiling holidays ruined in a row, not to mentions $12000 plus burnt up.
