Rode McBride Friday and Saturday....ran strong....put about 150 km on...tested 91 octane at Husky, no ethanol. They put the new exhaust on before I went and also got them to pull any codes off the ECU. They did find a crank sensor code. No one said anything about it being serious. Wasn't towed off the hill..........mabey the problems have been rectified.:beer::eek::eek:

It's because you're supposed to get it serviced every 20 hours. When you take it in the mechanic resets the display. I believe the manual shows how to reset it.

are you sure? every 20 hours? the average person would have to bring it in every week or 2

That's the way mine came from the factory. I was supposed to take it in but didn't until 500 miles. Had to put up with that flashing for quite awhile.

Well I dont have to worry about the Chit no more I sold my Polaris on Tuesday. I had bought 800 Doo Doo last Friday. Too many horror stories, but I have to say I really liked the way mine handled. I may go back if I feel the Doo isnt nimble as my Polaris..

sad to hear, I'm sure you'll be more than happy wit the doo doo!
I once traded my 04 M1 900 after a full days riding on Quartz, my friend was riding a summit 800r 151" and let me tell ya he had NO chance in hell of catching me over all them braking bumps on the way down....needless to say I never stopped until I got to the pickups...lol

......my cat rode like a lumber wagon compared to the doo doo!

I put on a 110 miles on the weekend over two days, the 1st thing I noticed was the ride to be smoother and mid range power was stronger.

I'm sure there is a fuel mapping problem with these machines going down. I have an 08-700 dragon that i put a carls performance 770 kit into. The thing worked great till the end of the day coming back to the trucks, on the trail about half throttle and 6000 rpms it seized. Carls were great and got me a top end real quick and sent another ecu they wanted me to try. They fattened up the mid range and has been working great. I didn't trust it when i rebuilt it so i put in a air / fuel gauge and can monitor things real close. No lean spots with the custom mapping they put on ecu. It would be interesting to see the new 800's with an air / fuel gauge to monitor this midrange lean spots.:d

It worked great all day, going back on the trail and it was like the kill switch was pushed. The motor was seized for only about 30 seconds before i could pull the rope out.

Has anyone had trouble with the 09 shift 800 blowing up. Just a Question I thought I would ask. Was there any symptoms before your dragons went boom.
