New ownership last year.It hasn’t always been that way. I’ve gone there without a guide. But that was 3 yr ago.
Once you cross over the saddle from the backside you then enter Toby creeks property and then are required to have a guide.Go in the backside using the forestry road on the SW side of Invermere and you don't need a guide.

It is now private property all the way from the base to the bowl.
Trying to o access from the backside is pretty sketchy. Terrain trap all the way.
Toby Creek adventures yes, they are now owned by RGM logging. Yes they bought the all the land up to and including the basin. The previous owner is a good friend of mine and my kid is guiding for Toby.Toby creek property? so what did they buy the mountain, i don't really understand that to be honest.
I believe there can be multiple tenure holders but they own the land now too. With a tenure only the permit holder can guide is how I understand that process but how do they keep unguided riders off crown land?
