20/21 Invermere and Area conditions

No way that the Parks and Recreation folks cant fine these guys? I know in Alberta they hide out all the time to try to catch people in where they are not supposed to be.

The government staff don't have time to enforce, RCMP do visit the area.

It's pretty frustrating when the club has done a terrific job of the area and guys can't just mind the rules for what ten more days? That being sad staging at 27 this year or back at the main lot on 19?

Have not heard if there is any logging this year. We are planning for parking at the main lot.
We're going to try grooming in and out this year instead of just one way. It adds another few hours to the groom but hoping it helps the trail stand up better. Plan is to groom after 100 sleds.

That just gets ugly, don't want to start a war. Last thing I want is to show up to groom and have no windshield in the groomer or my truck when I get done.

Signs at every intersection and parking lots.
Government website, WVSS website, face book, tourism radium etc all have this information.

Can I ask why forster is closed till Dec 1 ? Never ridden there and was thinking about it lately . Thank you

Forster Creek is the water supply for Radium, the closure is supposed to protect the creek from damage and pollutants

Opening day coming up, been getting lots of precipitation. Snow up high and rain at lower elevations.
Hoar frost layer is out there, check avy report for details. Been a couple slides in the Toby Creek drainage.

I would use caution right now, there has been a couple size 2 slides in the area.
Warm temps, rain and a Hoar frost layer make for a nasty snow pack.

Another dump of snow today at the resort, temperature was -3. Getting colder from tomorrow down to -30ish Monday in the Alpine.

You mean Toby Creek adventures? You can ride at Paradise if you hire a guide. No self guided riding
They still do powder x tours at Forster too.
