09 m8 speedometer not working

Hi there took it out for a good ride yesterday and the speedometer has quit working both needle and digital rpm is there but nothing else was wondering if any body can help me thanks

Speed sensor is down by your brake rotor on the right side. I'd start there. Check all wiring connections etc.

My 11 stopped working for a while as well the first year I got it, got through the season and figured Id fix it in the summer, and like magic it fixed itself somehow, went out to start tinkering on it in june or july and it was working and has worked ever since, that was almost three years ago. It never sits in a heated shop so the only thing I can think is that it was iced up or something, but it sure didnt look like it

Hi just replaced the speedo on my 2009 they had a problem with moisture getting in mine ended up reading lcd I took it out and tried to dry it but it didn't work good luck !
