They have the exhaust deflector. Seems to bog when snow gets jammed up. By exhaust though. A bog as in there is barely enough power to move the track and get stuck and will only recover if the snow is removed from the exhaust.
you do realize that if some chunks fall off into reeds and the engine happens to fail there is a really good chance they will blame the engine failure on that. i would be very cautious about doing such a mod, risk vs reward. i for one will be just taping up the gap on the intake by the handlebars.
Ya the G4's work very well. the thing that is making people switch is the reliability of them. Blowing belts non stop with no help for a couple seasons is ridiculous I went too 4 different dealers all said sorry I don't know whats up. Then when you have the short lil man saying maybe the belt...
Textron Pumps in money and lots of happy cat owners on the snow. Yamaha has new 2 stroke. There will be more of all the brands on the snow. I'm still not on a doo. I will try my luck with CAT,Polaris,Yamaha then maybe a doo doo in that order maybe in 10 years as i have been on a doo for last 10.

you will not have good luck on welding it. there is magnesium in it so makes it hard to weld. your pretty well screwed. i would know as i wrecked 2 bulkheads on the POS

There should be minimal bugs, if you think the only thing really different from last year is a new track and ski for the most part. whats the worse that could happen? I do wish the offered the new track with the conventional skid though
you probably need more weight in secondary also look at your sheave probably half is shiny so its not getting full shift. watch the dyno tech vid about y pipes. skidoos cant be beat. id say spend money on weight loss if you want something other than clutching too
