rear suspension set-up

So i got my new G4 summit and rode it all last season. Did not touch the rear skid. Just rode it as set up by the dealer. I thought it was fun but wheelied too much esp on steeper climbs. Sled is a 3" 165. I weigh 200lbs (without gear). I still want it to be playful and fun to ride but the light front end definitely hurt me in the climbing dept.
I'd appreciate any tuning advise that you guys have.

I am putting the adjustable limiter strap on this year so i can have wheelie mode and climb mode depending where a guy is riding

i just got messing with it in the garage. Limiter strap 2 holes tighter, rotated the block in the back to setting 2 and took the pre-load on the center spring up a notch. Will see how that handles. Can def tell there is more ski pressure and less sag in the back.

I have the same sled and had the same issues earlier last year. Two holes in on the limiter might not do too much, you should be at 3 on the rear springs at least and look into the coil spacers to the eliminate the additional sag that the archaic torsion spring suspension is famous for. The issue with this chassis is for some reason when climbing they generate significantly more traction than the Xm and will literally come over backwards on you no matter how the stock suspension is set up. Not sure if your riding style or ability but if you are an aggressive rider, you may never be satisfied with the stock skid no matter how it is set up. If that's the case then you should talk to Daryl Baker at racers edge by calgary, very simple and effective coupling rear arm with raptor coil over that has lots of adjustment, for bang for your buck you can't go wrong with this setup. Have fun out there.

you probably need more weight in secondary also look at your sheave probably half is shiny so its not getting full shift. watch the dyno tech vid about y pipes. skidoos cant be beat. id say spend money on weight loss if you want something other than clutching too

Saw your sled today at Daryl's. Looks good with the new tunnel.

If you don't want to lose the playfulness of the stock skid by going to a coupled skid(racers edge rear arm) id suggest a kiss coupler or skinz arc($$$$!) I haven't used either but they are options.. I do have a racers edge rear arm on my turbo 163 and I find that it works way too well (the ski pressure is insane), takes the fun out of the sled. Sure does climb like a bat out of hell tho!
