So finally got to try out this new lift. Sure probably not a super duper professional model you'd find in a sled shop, but i thought it worked pretty good. Wrenching is a lot easier and it beats crawling around on my hands and knees.
From other posted ideas, I also added a wider bar on the front...
just went and looked at mine. Superclamp2. The D-hook sits on a piece of plywood raised 3/4" above the main deck.
Also have the super glides.
The orange adjuster is a full 10 turns from the max line.
I agree, there's something wonky with your clamp. It's has to be getting stuck and not dropping...
Are there any MF dealers around Red Deer? Their website says Turple, but they have no stock. I'm looking for new boots and would really like to compare a few brands before forking out the $$$.
On my '13, I have the Polaris premium cover. Not sure exactly what it's made of, but it's not canvas. There is a soft lining on inside in certain spots, so it don't scratch the finish. It repells water and road snot really well. Fits like a glove and does not flap around. After one season on the...
Like said already, at this time of year, nobody is going to being giving away a 2014. Just start calling dealers and see what you find.
When i was shopping, the prices seemed to be fairly close, but some dealers threw in extras, or didn't charge for PDI, etc.
Also consider if you need service...
I too have mine at TD Insurance. My main company does not do toys.
If you do call around, you'll find it hard to get a policy without one of your other vehicles, but at TD you can get a stand alone policy.
Prices are good, phone service was good, so hopefully their claims are good if I ever make...
I've put on 1400 kms on my Pro with no mechanical issues. Completely stock (so far). Yes it does have less power than an 800, but for what i do, it works great. It has gone places that I would not have went on my older sleds (edge RMK700). Not like I do this a lot, but on the big long pulls, it...
Even though I like the smoke, I have to roll it outside of the garage, so it wasn't started, but I did sit on it.
Had to settle for a couple days at the lake, floating around on the boat.
Agree, should come on the sled when new.........I have the Polaris tether and no problems after one season. Simple install.
Personally, we have a friend that is missing his leg from the knee down. With a tether, it would never had happened.
I'm going with the same questions as Iron Horse.
First not bashing your product at all, it probably works great in it's designed application, (which is?). IMHO, using on aluminum hulls is preferred, and I can't see how it would damage the hull.
But on a fibreglass / gelcoat bottom, there are...
I have my sled and boat insured through Drayden. They have good "stand alone" policies for toys. They have several offices through AB, but I use Morinville.
If everything is in good shape, it's probably the trim tab on the leg. When under power, the motor wants to fall to one side with the water rushing by it. The faster you go the worse it gets.
Right above the prop, there is a small fin that points downward. Around 3" long sitting on a round...
Not sure how they stay in business for 30 years. Walk into their shop and you'll get the idea......it's a big mess.
I don't like bashing people on the net, but...........I wouldn't bring my boat there if it was the last shop open in Alberta.
Got shafted there a few years back on a large outboard...
I had some work done at Fiber-Werx in Sylvan. It's a professional fibreglass company, not some guy in a garage with a polishing tool.
They did excellent work for me.
Here's a link to their website.
I've had good luck with the system but they all had air boxes.
On their website holtzman engineering, inc. the instructions state;
"if there is no airbox, place the compensator in the upper back of the engine compartment away from engine and exhaust heat."
Try emailing/calling them to get the...
^^x2...........mine was flashing one day. Conditions were rain, wet snow, deep snow. It was only the dash light. The actual rear brake light came on only when I touched the lever (like it should). Checked the brakes and they were fine.
Looked around a bit and could not figure out where the...
We ride that area quite often. There's lot's of tree riding around there. Also miles of unmarked cutlines and trails.
The local club is
Check out their web, for all kinds of info.
A few weeks back managed to get a blue day out there.
Last week about a foot of new powder at the base. Farther...
So far 700 miles on the "little 600". Over all very happy with the sled. Love the handling in the hills and trees.
Still has the original driveshaft (with clamp), QD and clutch belts, spark plugs, not one hiccup yet.
I check it over after each ride, and have yet to find a loose bolt.
All I've...
