you can try their websites but they are usually not up to date. It's good to know what you're looking for. Every dealer has different inventory and the prices were all over the board.
Best thing is get on the phone and start calling around.
My original plan was to keep riding my 600, and eventually do the 660 kit. But instead of doing all that work, it was easier and cheaper just to buy the 800 and start with a new sled again.
As for pricing, paid under $10k, OTD, including GST and Polaris 3 yr warranty. After calling around, some...
Well with all the left overs out there, I thought to do my part in keeping the economy going, picked up a 2015 RMK. Nothing fancy, just the regular hohum model (if you can call that regular). Actually prefer some of the features over the Pro, so figured I'd give it a try. True it's not the new...
Three of us went down on Saturday. Started at 10, and by 1pm I thought it got busy. If sales were down, it was not because of us.
Two pair Motorfist boots
One Motorfist jacket
Motorfist gloves
TAG gloves
Two pair Polaris Bibs
One Sinister goggle
A few S&M T-shirts
Poo handle bar bag
And a few...
My registration is up in August, but don't renew until it's time to ride and the cost is usually around $30. Depending on your month, it's a way to save a couple bucks.
Basically the same machine. Engine, clutches, track, suspension, running boards, seat. Biggest tech change is the quickdrive, otherwise it's all about saving a couple pounds. I believe 18#'s diff.
Different:
1) Bonded A-Arms (PRO) vs. time tested Welded A-arms
2) QuickDrive™ belt drive (PRO)...
I too picked one of these up a few years ago when on sale. Still works today, and actually use it for my daily parking when sled not in use. It's not your super duper professional lift, but for the $$$, it works quite well. I too have figured out a better support for the back end so it sits more...
You do have to try them on since everyone has a different feel. But for me, I have the Klim Adrenaline. Two seasons and still like new. Keep my feet very dry, and super cumfy. It does seem expensive, paying $200+ for a pair of boots, but after using them, I should have done it long ago.
I have Klim Togwotee. At first I thought I found a great glove. They feel great, keep warm and dry, but they fall apart. Klim gave me a new pair under warranty, but the second pair have also worn out very quicky. Again the leather palm is garbage. And I only wear while riding. When unloading...
I bought one of those from PA on sale, around $150. That is what my sled usually sits on while parked in the shed. After a couple years, it still works fine. Only thing I did was install a wider bar on the front that holds the wheels, makes it more stable. It looks pretty close to the one above
Don't know all the details any more, but many moons ago I bought 2 new in the crate. It was some end of season deal so they just wanted them gone. No special circumstances, still had warranty.
Here's a thread on Snowest, where the guy purchased one. Maybe he could give you more specifics.
New...
Come on you guys, no one has brought up the old cover trick. Put the Doo cover on the Pro and nobody pays attention to it.......:rollinglaugh:
OK, joking aside, when traveling, the hitches / slider have padlocks, superclamp padlock, and heavy chain through suspension. The chain I have is some...
Scammers will always be out there, cause there's always some one falling for the sales pitch. Funny all you guys say people are stupid, but some just are too gullible.
Last year we stopped by our relatives, and the nephew was all excited to show me the new car he was buying. His parents were...
I have the Motorfist Big Mtn jacket. It has some insulation, sort of in between the shell type and the bulky insulated jacket. Has kept me dry and warm last season. Open the vents on those warm spring days. Overall happy with the jacket.
Just replaced my "yamaha" Goretex bibs that I got in...
Re: Polaris RETARDS (Tether Instructions)
There's actually nothing wrong with the switch, but gathering the point of this thread is the stupid instructions. You think polaris could update that 1 page of data. I got my tether a couple years ago and looks like the paper hasn't changed.
I got...
Many moons ago, I had a 98 with Keihin carbs, and PSI twin pipes. Besides the main jet, the pilot jet was also changed to make it run nicer.
I seem to keep all these papers filed away. Here's a jetting and clutching chart that I used and found they were pretty darn close. Only diff was the...
I spent a few bucks at the swap meet on Sat.. It was a small event, but lots of good parts. The old machines were interesting to check over. I went mostly for the swap meet, but still had a walk about inside at the ski stuff.
Kudos to you guys for putting on the swap. Hopefully it will be a...
