Ok, well with the puller in place and a quick brap on the impact gun, the Magneto came off.
Sooo second question? As i'm cleaning and inspecting the stator, there is one broken wire on the stator pick up. It seems like something has cut/burnt through it.
Is this a big deal? Am i looking at...
Thanks Maxwell.
I probably should have done a search on this topic, my bad. I do have the princess auto puller, and i have put a little heat to the mag via a heatgun. Should i use the propane torch instead? I will let it sit for a bit now, as i have had no luck yet.
Will keep you updated
Looking at trying to get my magneto off, but dont have the right puller. Any chance that another puller would work? or does someone have a proper puller i could borrow?
Suppose to be heading up that way for work in a couple weeks, What's the cellphone service like up there? I could be in Yellowknife for a bit, but heading out towards Bechoko/Rae after that.

Been out on exercise for the last month and a half. Like i stated before, i believe the fact that the carb boot was spilt that caused the motor to lean out and blow out a piston. Yes the case is cracked on the bottom end, but was not repaired like some suggested by the looks of the pictures...

I put 250 kms on the engine before she went bang! Who would have thought 100dollar carb boot with a small tear would end up costing $2600?
Hey guys, just curious if anyone has ever seen one of these?
I found one on SLP for $65
Yamaha - Dial Indicator Timing Set - Starting Line Products
Just curious if anyone could suggest where to look except the dealer?
As my roommate has already posted up his comments on here, i will respond to this as, I've been living with the guy off and on for the last 3 years. Dave is the guy that started suggesting last year to get a sled. He has walked me through everything i know about sledding, including fixing and...
