Guys I ride with had issues;
2010 800 Polaris RMK (new engine under warranty at 1700 km's)
2009 800 Ski-Doo Summit (new top end under warranty at 2500km's)
2006 800 Ski-Doo Summit (new engine)
I bought a new 2010 renegade 800 this year and now has 3150 km's. Hoping to make it through the season. You have to remember, its been a great snow year with the chance to put on alot of miles. I should hit 4000 km's as long as it stays together.
Use shell v-power with 50 ml. oil per tank, keep clutch's clean and chassis greased with track tension as loose as you can run without ratcheting (ratcheting hard to accomplish with modern drivers).
I'm wondering if the seals on the pto and mag sides should be changed after a high mileage season? Couldn't hurt.... Cheap insurance for next year.
09 m1000 153 1800 miles and a crank seal let go and took out pto cylinder!Dealer replaced piston and jug and sent it home without checking for seal leaks and it took out same cylinder in about 2 miles!He removed motor second time to do job properly and it needed motor mounts which are still on back order!Been in the shop for 5 weeks now!!!!Might be buying a new sled and keep it for a back up sled!!!!!
