I would argue that the Doo is the leader in fit, finish and innovation. They make a sled/package that ticks most boxes. I have been super happy with my 2020 Expert. Zero issues except me putting old gas into it. That said every time I ride a an Axys or Alpha I’m reminded how stable, predictable...
Have you ever had any close calls when it was engaged? I’m worried that it works just good enough that you won’t be paying attention when you should be. I’m guilty of this on ag equipment. The outfit we use for seeding you are pretty much along for the ride once everything is set.
You are correct. Polaris has for years run the brake on the end of the jack shaft. Both on the belt and chain drive systems. Have yet to hear of an incident where a belt or chain failure and subsequent lack of brakes caused further injury or damage. I have only blown one belt and that was on a...
Nice Buy! I would get a few miles on the sleds (500+ miles) to make sure your not going to have crank bearing issues before you throw turbo’s on. Once the turbo is on the warranty is off and the bearing failure would be a tough one to eat. Enjoy!
Do you have a 850 Polaris already? If not I would get a holdover 800. Cheaper and lighter with similar power in the end. Start with a 155 X 2.6, add ice age rails and 163 x 2.6, some good aftermarket shocks and a Boondocker turbo kit. If you a really technical rider, a gear down kit and...
I have been watching Tesla for years. Not because of they are EV, but because the technology (primarily the self driving feature) that is in their vehicles. I thought the Cyber Truck would be my first, but I just can't get past the looks. The price, vehicle range and performance all would...
I can check for you. The other option is I’m working by Jaffery at the moment and looking for a riding partner on Thursday. We could go for a ride and you can set the numbers when the sleds are side by side.
The new plugs were 180 degrees out like the old ones. It idles better with the new plugs, but still doesn’t want to start clean when it’s cold. It will fire then die. Repeat about 4 times and it will stay running. Had it side by side with a 19 850 Doo (Josh’s). Both stayed in the trailer...
You are not quite into B.C. in these pics. The ridge behind you is the border. Once over the pass if you had stayed on the trail (I use trail loosely) and continued west you would connect to the Flathead. The plane wreck you are talking about is best accessed by staging at York Creek.
The area is still open although somewhat restricted. There was a map on the Alberta Environment website of designated riding areas and trails. That said the only enforcement we have seen is at the staging areas making sure the sleds are registered and insured.
Chris likes the Polaris 2.6” track. He’s not a fan the polaris 3” or the conquer 2.8”. What beef are you guys having with the 2.6”? Besides some of the premature wear issues on the earlier ones I always thought they were a versatile track?
First day on my 2020 Expert. It idles like garbage. I have a MBRP Trail can on it. Same one that was on my 2018 summit with no issues. What is the thinking behind the can affecting idle? O2 sensor location?
Living in a small town in southern Alberta I have watched our little restaurant start and fail many times. The two operators that did well at it worked like dogs with little help. These people saved enough money to move to more lucrative locations. The underlying issue IMO in these small...
