I know they are developing a kit for the doos as well and I am pretty interested as well. Dave from powderlites is helping in the developement and will also be carrying ripchargers as well. He could probably help with any questions that you may have. I hope these things are the real deal because...
Whatever you do don't get your track shipped ups. The brokerage fees will kill you. For example I bought a set of clearence iceage rails($175) and a cross shaft kit($25). When that $206 order arrived at my doorstep my fees between brokerage, hst for the items and hst for the brokerage it was...
I got an slp head, y-pipe, can, and reeds. Seems to be a good combo for that motor. My 07 seems to pull harder than any of the 07s that I have rode with. I had the cold air intake but with the horror stories of the bel at dust I am going to give a set of kick ass filters with pre filters a try...
Actually I'm not into it for a whole lot of money. The timbersled I traded $600 and my stock skid. The 174 rails were iceage clearence so after selling my 162 rails I am only into them for $50. The drivers were $290. The clutches come off an 04 rev I bought and parted out. I doubled my money on...
With the price of diapers and formula these days I am forced to keep my 07 xrs for a couple more years and give it a makover. Here's a list of what the old girl is getting this year.
174x2.5x16 camo extreme track.
Drop and roll 1.5"down, 1.5" back
simmons skis
boss seat
timbersled suspension...
Me and my four month old were watching the new crazy canadian 3 and my little guy seems to really like. I really like it as well. They do some pretty technical shoots. It's nice to see some of these climbs done in some fresh snow. I also liked seeing a couple doos representing as well. The...
Ya my buddy's nytro at times had some big boost but it did have the pistons and rods done. As I said I'm not going to dispute the fact that yamaha's are more reliable. I also think in terms of performance comparing a stock nytro or apex to a stock 800 is not really apples to apples. I would say...
On my 6l I get about 14-14.5L per 100km. The miles to gallon thing is a little tricky because if you guy by imperial gallons your milage looks a lot better. I can't really complain because I am running 285 pro comp x-terrian tires and wide rims. I also have a superchip which helped with power...
Wow looks like I touched a nerve. Ok I was busting balls on you yamaha guys and apparently you took it a little too serious. I think I do have to set the record straight a little bit here. Without a DOUBT ski-doo's have been towed out more than yamaha's. Buddy that's a no brainer. however you...
An 1160 in a rev has the same effect to me as popping a couple blue pills. The 1160 is a great engine and to have it in a great chassis would be sick. I have though about that combo for a project myself. I do have a tough time loosing the rer though. But beyond that there is not much downside...
As long as your sled was warmed up properly I would say you might be a little shy on compression. It might be a good idea to check it. A good tip if your sled is'nt warmed up real well and you want to put it in reverse give your machine a little choke and it seems to work like a charm.
I would imagine a new set of a-arms and tie rods and you would be laughing. Not everyone is happy about the new narrowed up stance, so you might be able to trade someone who is buying a 2011.
Ya it's amazing how much weight you save just with aftermarket drop brackets. We did a timbersled skid and drop brackets on my budies apex and it was huge.
You probably can't go wrong with either but I have found the sdi engines to be a bit stronger. My parents have two, my buddy has one and my uncle has one and no issues with the sdi. In my opinion the 600 in terms of performance and reliability is one of the best motors ski-doo makes. To me I...
