I was thinking of buying a New viper mtm 163 and turboing it. I know its suppose to be heavier but how would the handling feel compared to my 2008 Arctic cat M1000 - 163 or my 2004 Summit 800 - 159. Im just curious so that i have an idea. Thanks.

I'm running the 15 viper 162 mtx with a 190mcx turbo and i'm very impressed with the handling of this sled. Are they heavy YUP, do they handle heavy NOPE. Stepping from side to side for carving or just simply leaning and the sled goes where you want it to go , playing in the trees is a blast with my viper , you can back out of it and get yourself straightened out and get back into and go. Sorry I cant compare it to your other sleds, but for me coming off an 08 nytro (not stock), there is no comparison. And also the power is just to much fun. My opinion I think you'd be very impressed with this sled , but I know they're not for everyone.

I ride a proclimb cat and have spent time on a viper and, yes there is a noticeable difference in riding them. Im not sure I would attempt taking the viper in the trees! for the guys that do all the power to them!

Im Very Disappointed bud. We used to take you and your Nytro in the trees for Humour as that girl cleared more bark than a Delimber! But now with your Viper your always right there pushing us to go further! Now its me who needs the breather to keep going. Actually very impressed with that sled! And the 190 kit on it feels way more than the 190 on the Nytro ever did! Just remember next time you tell me to take it for a rip you may not get it back!!

I had an m1000 with SLP set up and an M8 Turbo, both 162's. I now have a 174 boost it viper and I can say that the viper is easier to ride than both of those sleds to me. I have also spend lots of time on a 13 pro climb, and its is also a very fun sled. I tell people that the viper is in the middle of the m series and the proclimb for handling and they do just fine in the trees lol

I got 600 km on mine so far all deep days mainly rode in trees. Boosted from day one 8-10 lbs.. No issues gas and go, throttle response is excellent on boost-it kit. I put a 3" doo flex track 163" helps get it on top quick and racers edge t-motion type rear arm works hand in hand with track. Handles much better than the apex I had and better than the nytro which I had set up very well. Owned the other top two smokes and hard to compete with them in the trees.. Viper is balanced out better and hides the weight better. I ride with mainly 174 t3s those sleds are so forgiving stop and go in the trees on inclines etc where I have to be on the gas and keep the momentum up. I tried some 8" slydogs last trip they floated sled alot better but prefer the gripppers so far for all around handling. Raised the skid up as well front and rear the lowered ride height helps get rid of the nose heavy feeling and diving on downhills etc sled handles better.
I would try and take one for a rip before dropping the cake on one they do take some $$ to make them better and are a challenge in the trees but cant beat the gas and go reliability with boost and if you like making a big pull or climb etc theres not much stopping you

The viper will do anything any other sled will do and have reliable power all the time. my 14 yr old boy is amazing on his viper and he came off a 15 pro 163, he rode mine viper 1 time and wanted me to build him another viper turbo, he loves the chasis as I do.. light years ahead of the nitro.
