Hi all, oldest boy is seven and will soon outgrow the 120. What makes/models/yrs have you found that work for younger kids. I've got older 600 and 700 but I think that is still a bit too much machine
Probably not till next yearAre any of you selling your 120s ??
I don't want to get bashed for being a bad parent but my boys (11 and 9 now) started riding the 800 etech at age 7 and my oldest did a year on an 09 powertek 800 before etechs came out. the throttle was a little tough on his thumb with the carbs. I started the boys on dirtbikes at 3 and racing motox at 4 so they have quite a bit of exposure to riding so it was no problem. they are both now quite comfortable riding in the mountains with me. they are no experts but I am proud of them. the nice thing was when they are learning and can't make over to the next range at least you have a sled that is capable for me to ride up for them. did that a couple times. also with a long track 800 they aren't stuck all the time and you have a spare sled for the wife or someone you want to take out riding.
