There are guys that are putting the 1200 kit on there M1000 and then putting a turbo on.. I was talking to a guy in the states that builds turbo kits and he said that the one that they built has not been beat by any yammy yet, and he's gone up against some stage 3 turbo'd yammy's... AWESOME!!!!!!!

I think the problem here is ppl are comparing apples to oranges. All you small block turbo two stroke guys come on be realistic, you are NEVER going to catch something with 200-300cc more engine size, its just not happening. Not to mention the fact its got 2 more cylinders which HUGELY effects durability and reliability!!! Go play with a turboed 4 stroke thats at least with in 50-100cc of your engine, this is like comparing a friggin Top sportsmen car to a Nitro funny car. Lets face it a 800cc turbo will NEVER make 300+ hp and make it to see a SECOND run, and all this coming from the BIGGEST TWO STROKE FAN on here(well MAYBE the biggest) Dont get me wrong Im FAR from falling for a four stroke BUT in order to play with a big block, juiced and turboed Apex, Its gonna take a Big block Two Stroke to come close!!!

My Two Cents:D

No it was greg.. Randy's buddy. The only to carbon 1000's that i know of in the area.. I met another one of your guys riding buddies. He's got an M7 turbo i think, was a long day yesterday, he's riding with jeff this weekend he said..

That nice little 1000 you built detonated yesterday! ouch! he is stuck riding a polaris dragon for the rest of the weekend. he should have the 1000 turbo back up and ready for yammy days, the other guy with the m7t will also be coming down to yammy days. 3 turbo 2 strokes will be meeting us from montana as well, need all the help we can get!!!

Hey it all sounds good.. Glad to hear some people are going to show Them yammy boys that they arent the only ones than go put a turbo on and go like a bat out of hell.... Yah i heard he had some issues yesterday, but i was told it might just be a blown head o-ring. But i guess not.. Is he going to just put the spare motor in?? Big bore the one he just had issues with and then from the guys i've talked to there aint a yammy out there that'll touch the 1200 turdo'd...Hahaha..

So yah it was just a broken head bolt and a blown out head o-ring.. But he said that he has like 800+ miles on the turbo'd 1000 and was totally amazed cause the pistons and cylinders look like new. He said if he didnt know any better he would have thought that the motor was built just the other day.. That is good to hear.. Just goes to show how two-stroke turbo's can be reliable and work good.. He had actually forgot to check the torque on his head boltss and he'd had it turned up to like 15+ lbs boost.. But it's all good cause it could have been alot worse... He'll be headed for revvy...

Im goin out with a target on my back here, but heres my BEAF with the turbos. ANYONE can bolt on a turbo and go FAST or make HUGE HP numbers, BUT it takes talent a gift even if you will to build an engine from the lower case half to the tip of the spark plugs and make IMPRESSIVE hp numbers. I see this sort of thing on the track with the race car. PPL build a car strap a friggin ROCKET on its back and go FAST!!! Then you see a TOP FUEL Nitro powered car come to the line and go fast and you think WOW that engine builder did RIGHT by that racer. Just my opinion, old school maybe.:)

totally disagree. you can tell the good turbo builders from the average or poor ones on the hill. There is a reason almost everyone uses Nick King in vernon or Alpine in Salmon Arm.

Well let me put it to you this way, Im pretty sure the average guy would be more successful bolting on a turbo, changing pistons, rods, some timing and fuel delivery than he would tunnel porting, boring and stroking, cylinder sleeve and porting, cutting a head, boring carb's, flowing pipes and then hitting the snow???? Could be wrong but I doubt it. And ironically enough i have YET to see any DYNO sheets and accurate or REAL ones for a stage 3 turbo yammie that ppl claim to be some 300+ hp!!!!

It would be interesting to see how many of you 2 stroke turbos will do against the 4 stroke turbos. If you go onto snowwest you can see that someone with a m 1000 turbo tried to go up monster and could not make it.Hopefully Veedy will be there doing some of his Video taping for boost 3 and get some of this 2stroke vs 4 stroke stuff for Boost 3.The we will see who is King on the Mountain.

Wow.. that's how you kill 20 mins... I have built an run both 2 stroke turbo and 4 stroke turbo..... you's are try'ng to compare a 600hp on boost to a 200hp on juice... they well never be close and never beat up on one another, but when it comes to 4strokes..... I 've built and seen a turbo Nytro totally spit out an Apex for giggles,,, and the Apex was running 18lbs boost and the Nytro 12,,, killed it...You can continue this 2 v's 4 for ever......... to each there own....... if we did not have an opion... there would not be snow and mud.com for us to share our opinions now would there

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!! any 2ST's making it down to revy this weekend, everyone seemed to turn this thread into "my turbo is better than yours" debate, I kinda just wanted to motivate some of the guys running 2 stroke turbos out there to come to revy this weekned to see whats out there and how they are working????
