I wouldn't say the turbo 2 strokes spool up faster.I watch an Turbo m-7 at the Alpine shoot out get his Azz handed to him.Alpines Nitro was kicking every thing on the hill and that was with Dean riding and he is no small slouch.I was so impressed I have been thinking about getting one.Now just to convince the wife that I need to spend another 30 grand on a sled.

Oh yes I have.................I can look at one anytime I want...............it's a short walk. LMFAO You obviously have never seen Linderman's 2 stroke run a drag. You need to read my whole post. I MADE REFERENCE to the length of the race. This was proven again in FERNIE. And dont say the 4 strokes were not represented by a super machine and super rider. Each to his own.

Thats funny...... HE OWNS ONE!!!!!;)

My brother inlaw has one, and I have rode a few times. they handle descent. He is not allowed to come on any more trips though, intill he learns how to get himself unstuck. the thing is still a PIG!!! no matter what you say about the handling and please don't make a comment about never getting stuck. If you are never stuck then you are not pushing the sled at all and might as well ride skidoo freestyle. I can't wait to try a boosted one though, I will say that. either way I will never go 4 stroke untill they drop a 100 pounds.

LOL.......... EVERY SLED IS A PIG WHEN THEY'RE STUCK!!!! anybody says different, they're not trying hard enuff!!!! yup, we all get stuck, even the mighty 2strokers. you just have to ride smarter than the snow after awhile eh???;):D

LOL........ yup, to each his own. I don't care much for drag(queens);) anyways. I want a crisp throttle response on the hill or in the meadow or trees & the T-Nytro's or stock Nytro's give me that.

I've never been one to stir it up either, but thought i would give you guys a little razzin' :D Yeah, i want to test ride Irmen's sled to see the difference from the Alpine kit to the MCX(I've ridden already)
It's all good "Rocket", my brother has an xrs with turbo this year & really didn't have a good season with it. That's my experience with the 2-smokers to speak of(turbo's anyways)

So do tell me then what makes the NYTRO so different from the APEX

there is as much difference in the 2 Yammy's as there is in the XP from the old Doo chassis from 03' & older. The transition from a Rev to the Nytro was non-existant for me. The Nytro transition from sitting to standing is ALOT better than the Apex, the handling is ALOT easier on theNytro(in my opinion) & with the T-Nytro, there is no lag at all......... even the rear mounts!!!(that i noticed anyways.) Mike Irmen is selling his other sleds because he believes the Nytro is that good!!! Darko believes(somewhere on Snowest) that it is the best overall sled he has ridden!!!!(turbo'd of course) the extra torque that the Nytro has, is making up for the lack of overall HP & is taking the Apex's in just about all challenges. Totally depends on rider & set-up(just like the 2strokers as well).
But the selling feature for me on the T-Nytro is......... PUMP GAS ALL DAY-EVERYDAY........... up to 12 or 13 lbs boost & hitting around the 240+HP range. That's enuff for me, most(if not all) days out there. Sure it's another $12,000 on top of what i've done already, but what do you have to spend on a great running 2-stroke Turbo??? & have to carry race fuel everytrip??? Not bashing, just trying to justify the cost in the long haul. I'm new to the 4-stroke scene, but very happy that i've gone to the DARKSIDE so far!!!:D

PS long winded much???? & my wife says I don't talk much!!!:D

What i was curious in was the fact you say the NYTRO'S have no LAG compared to the APEX. How can that be??? Whats the DIFFERENCE???

I was reading somewhere that it's because it has only 3 cylinders to spool up instead of 4, & the extra torque compensates???? make sense? LOL. They could tell me all kinds of BS & make it sound good & i would buy it!!! LOL
Seriously though, the MCX i rode was on pump gas & running 12-14lbs boost & i was on & off the throttle while climbing & it felt as smooth as my stocker........ just climbed ALOT better.:D I was carving back & forth up the hill like it was nothing & chopping the throttle to see what it would do........... all good, till i was lookin' at the sky & thinking......... this isn't my sled. They really need some suspension mods to keep from flipping over. I haven't spent much time on the Apex, but I know that the Nytro is a wicked fun sled & can hang with the 2-strokes in just about any area I want it to. JUST NEEDS MORE HP.

Interesting, just kinda odd I've worked with turbos on diesel engine for about 12 years and it doesnt seem to make a difference what you do there is still turbo lag. And really until you get your rpm's up in order to spool the turbo you will always have lag. Granted 3 cyl would spool faster than 4
