never even thought of that. usually after ten years manufactureres start phasing stufff out and its virtually impossible to find aftermarket goodies for anything that old. id save up and if you love yamaha how about a used phazer mtn or something

ya i know that dont worry

bahahahahahahaha!!! nice!

J.dot. - You need to start looking at other brands. I know you don't want to, but if you want to sled, it's gonna be something you have to think about, seriously.

There are only so many choices you are going to find in your price range, you have the option to ride another brand in your price range if you can't find a yammy, or not ride at all. Don't let your pride get in the way and ruin your winter.

Hope life on the island ain't too lonely....I'll get the think tank going again and maybe we can find you a yammy in your price range.

you dont think your going to be let down by a vmax 600 weighing in a 600lbs in 4 feet of island pow?

worst thing about that island pow is it is probably heavy wet chit. 4ft i dont care what ya ridin it is gonna suck when you get stuck.

Don't listen to them haters! Yammi RULES!

It is possible to ride in the mountains and not have 140hp and a 154x16 track. And no you don't have to rejet every fifty feet if your alright loosing a bit of HP or not being right at peak.

The first 5 years of mtn riding I did was on '92 and '94 Phazers, I road mostly Crowfoot and occasionally Allen Creek. Brought it to AB and road west castle over the middle kootney pass, across Fording River and into Harvy. 136" track and 1.5 paddles. They will go places.

No your not going to hill climb but you can still have a lot of fun, and it'll force you to learn some technique besides squeezing the throttle. Heck, if your riding on the island or lower mainland the snow's going to be dense and set-up most of the time, you'll run out of places to go before you run out of hp!

The Phazers are very forgiving of jetting. There's still lots o' demand for them so you should be able to sell it for what you payed for it in a couple of years when your ready for something else.

Easy to work on as well to learn the basics of 2smoke wrenching. Just don't buy a money pit...wait for one that's been looked after.

Bye
what about a vmax 600???? good shape , long track , looks like good paddel and gas rack. oh and its a 94

what about one of them????? only two i can find on the island

I suggest you find a good summit from 97 - 02. They are reliable sleds and you can pick them up for under 3500. Mine is mint and I picked it up for 2500.

Its a 670cc 136'' x 1.75'' its decent in 3ft of snow but im sure you can find one with a 144'' or 151'' x 2''. There great sleds, but like said above you get what you pay for, it obviously wont keep up with the new mountain machines but it is still a great sled.
