Summiteer, that is even more clever! You and I should start our own "Snowmobilers consulting" business :D If you put up all the money, I'll give you 49% of the business ... for nothing! Sound good? :sadbanana:
sounds good, i'd need 51% though...(I'm not as think as you dumb I am).

Yah the new cat is supposed to be somewhat derived from the new snopro, which have been kickin ass and takin names.. they actually had on of the new cats up in stewart last spring doing some testing. A buddy of mine saw it, which he said they did a poor job of trying to dress it in the current M series plastic.. But atleast it won't look like a yu-gi-oh machine. Like another sled which we wont mention...LOL...

Yah the new Xp's work good but a person needs to be careful about overtorqueing some things.. I'm amazed at how tough the new XP's are, they are tougher than last years rev's..

:D Just found out this weekend that the drive shafts are spinning apart. The ends are pressed on.some models were welded and some were not,i'll be checking into this monday morning,I think it's the early production xp's,the shorter tracks, better check to see if yours is welded before going to far....:D

Twin Turbo... seems like the news you are reffering to re: two or three piece pressed drive shafts breaking, (two ends pressed on to the centre hollow shaft) is true after all. Have you witnessed it first hand? It can't be just internet BS can it? If so, why would'nt BRP learn the leason that Polaris experienced when they tried to lighten up the 05 RMK with the same crappy design on their drive shafts which also twisted apart? Why not weld it right from the start? A couple welded beads can't cost that much in terms of time / expense on the manufacturing floor?? my:twocents:

One the to watch with the new xp's is that you fill yor oil tank right up so that the breather tube on the back side can fill with oil.. Otherwise it could cause a motor issue like they had last year.. If you look between the rwind and your oil tank towards the otherside of your sled(you'll probably need a light to seee hose) this is where the hose is located.. It feeds the oil bath in the center of the crank. Once it fills initially then it is good unless you pull the bottom end of the moptor apart.. Most should have been filled at pdi.. Some havn;t been though.. But all in all they are a really good sled and are tougher than last years xrs..

Oh yah. That would be comical to see. Even though at the time it probably didn't seem very comical...
