Here in okotoks the lightning is crazy really heavy rain and the south has a tornado warning.

Seen on the news Taber had a confirmed tornado touch down in a field around 8:30. What's with the weird weather so early in the year? It's technically not even summer yet!

An inch (or 25 mm) of rain last night in Elkford. Forecasting another 20-50mm in the weather warning for today and this evening.

So far this spring we have had 6 and 9/10" of the wet stuff.

On another note, last night at 1ish. I woke out of my sleep to the sound of thunder, i thought there was a car wreck outside my house man it was loud. The gf said it sounded like a building collapsing. I haven't been woken by thunder in since i was a kid.

Got woke up about 1:30 by thunder, rain gauge showed 8/10ths at 4:00am still a little lighting to the east then.

day 2 still raining here in pincher creek we had a slight let up then got pounded again. heard about the tornado warning for the south that was pretty crazy.

2 Confirmed tornado's by Taber, 1 north of Brooks, 1 at Bow Island and Turin and Environment Canada is investigating a possible tornado at Vulcan as well. Heard even Spock beat it out of town last night when the storm was about to hit. Lol.

claiming close to 10 days of rain coming. red deer river close to flooding in sundre. the glennifer lake should be full flow now. could be interesting.

Crazy weather here too with snow on the mountains around Armstrong this morning!

Snow on the mountains coming home last night. Another 3/4" yesterday through the day. Nearly 2" total from that storm according to my rain gauge. Temp down to +2 last night. Had everything that mattered covered.
