bought synthetic rope from CND Rope and Industrial Supply a couple of years ago, used them a lot and no problems

A lot of guys make the mistake of replacing the wire rope with synthetic, but don't change the rollers on the fairlead. If the rollers are chewed up from the wire,they will destroy your nice new rope. They have UHMW rollers that work better with synthetic rope. Cost me $25 to get a set. Right now I have wire rope and a fairlead with metal rollers.But when I put my short synthetic plow rope on I now have another fairlead with UHMW rollers. When my wire rope gives out on me I'll be switching to the synthetic rope. I found this link with some good tips...
