I didn't question if the gun was licenced. Do you know matt personally? I don't.
Lots of people don't know the law and post pictures on the internet of themselves doing things that are illegal. Take the guy from Victoria on CanadianGunNutz for instance. He thought it was ok to set up his shooting table in the back of his pickup and blast away while his pal took pictures for him. Then he musta lost his brains just before posting them online. In BC it is illegal to shoot from a motor vehicle. Then there was the guy that killed a Fox in BC and posted the pictures on HuntingBC. It's illegal to kill them in BC. Not everyone follows the rules.
Judging by your use of the word commandant you are one that could care less about laws and have a problem with those that do?

Of course I know him. Matts brother is my second cousins twice removed godmother who landed on the eastern shore of Prince Edward Island with a band of gypsies who pretty much had there way with anyone and everyone if you follow my drift. As for me you can just address me as........MR. TROUBLEMAKER there mister.;)

With classic liberal news tactics Imdooin has made the switch. Divert attention from the real issue, then twist the information about the new topic. The original topic is: Ludwig is dead, good riddance, he was an a-hole and a terrorist. Larry has turned it into a hate on big oil and proper gun use when defending your home. No rational human can deny that Ludwig was a terrorist.

how you twist my words dave, now lets get with the program. i stated i don't condone, agree or like wibo's actions, methods or ideas. period, i stated i can understand how he got there. i could care less if he was alive or dead!!, one guys terrorist is anothers freedom fighter dave, take a look at a history book dave, just about anyone out there. i don't have a hate on for big oil dave, just that you have stated that oil companies are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and have nothing but the public's interest at heart, that is what i take exception to dave. i have given a small example of why i think the way i do, i have a lot more. i have no objection to you defending your home dave, only you can't seem to decide what defending your home is. someone breaking into your house, assualting you with a wepon. or a friggin coward, shooting somone in the back. i don't agree with shooting a gun at a kid trying to steal a quad or pulling donuts in your yard. there are better ways to handle this.

shall we start round 2

Pretty sure Knight was being run down with his own property when he shot the thieves, didn't he block them in his driveway at the time? Totally different scenario, not even comparable, small gauge with bird shot, not a choice killing weapon. Self defence. Guy in Langdon was found NOT GUILTY when crooks broke into his home and he killed one. Self defense. Shooting someone joyriding on your front lawn with a high powered rifle? having a hard time buying that one....

Even without a gun, you gonna let someone walk in your house and take your stuff? If someone threatens your life you better be willing to defend yourself at all costs if you want to live, regardless of the weapon they are carrying (if they are even carrying one). They don't even need a gun, lots of people have been beaten to death.........

I'm thinking the story has a few versions to exonerate knight, modman. the story i hear is he ran the kid off the road with his truck, the kid ran and knight shot the kid in the back like a true manly redneck . the kid was not in anyones house, and that is a whole different angle to this thread.

It was by no means a kid. He was in his mid 30's

Please don't pursue this and suggest that you think Wiebo wasn't "over the top". Comon Bud...we've not seen eye to eye here before...but Wiebo was as "over the top" as it gets without being named Bin Laden.

Big oil: evil? Probably.
Big oil: improving? Definitely.
Big oil: important to just about every Albertan's economy? Mostly.

jeez dave where do you come up with this stuff? wiebo = bin ladin, we both need a beer bud
the alberta economy revolves around oil and gas yes
big oil evil i wouldn't say that at all
improving yes.
our best interest no. profits yes.
again i don't agree with his methods, or actions dave, just can understand how he got there.
