Ok - i know that is an obvious statement!

So - Sunday afternoon I am on the site and see that Tabneil has a couple of beacons for sale. As the price is right and I wanted a couple of extra for spares, I phone him up and we make a deal. I tell him that I will get a check out to him shortly and then he can ship me the beacons. Kids start bugging me and of course I forget to write the check then and there.

All hell breaks loose on Monday morning and I have to fly out of town dealing with f***ing New York lawyers for two days. Get back into town today and think - "I better get Tabneil a check if I want those beacons for the April trip".

To my surprise - Greyhound phones and says there is a package for me. My assistant picks it up - and it is the beacons.

Made my day to think that you can still do a deal with a guy just on your word alone. BTW - check is in the mail!!:d

Makes you feel like there are still decent people in the world...

I too have a similar story, needed some items from Buck50 and he too ordered the items for me, and allowed me to send him a cheque in the mail...I dont know him other than on the 'net'...

I have met some great people here, wife thinks its weird that I call you guys 'friends' but thats how I think of you... :)

Neil is a hell of a good guy, doesn't surprise me at all.

Now you have my interest piqued?! Is Neil the goalie or the defenseman behind him?

i needed a clutch a few years back and found one on snowest in the classifieds, it was in the eastern states, i called the guy up and tried to put it on my credit card. something to do with zip codes and postal codes, i couldnt pay by credit card. this fellow sent me the clutch with a bill and i sent him a bank draft after receiving the bill. it was only like a $150 dollar bill but either way he trusted me and that was awesome. I wish i could remember his name and company but it was pretty cool.

I'm just fawkin around....Neil is a goalie, and loves Hawkins Cheezies. he's not quite as chubby as the goalie in the commercial, but it's still funny.....:d

I started on left wing JT, weren't many lefties back in the day. moved to the blueline when I got older (bigger). haven't played in years tho
