If you look in the back to the left you can see it sitting on the table. I have Nick King at Vernon MS doing this one. Man that guy is top notch to deal with, very very meticulous. Service guy sent me an email with three pics showing the start, middle and end of the tear down, with more to follow as it all gets put together. Pretty sweet since I didnt request them!

King Nick or Fonzie is great guy! & 1 great tech. Couple times over the years he was top rated Yamaha mech in Canada. Plus he rides sleds, bikes, quads, etc.

It has been a few years in the making. Should be on the snow this year, if the :rant:wife:realmad: grants me enough garage time.

It looks like you have the hardest parts done already. I have built these before. It's a pretty tight fit. Is it a stock bore or a big bore?

It is a bigbore, very mild porting and plenty safe for pump gas. It is not a crazy Hp rig by any means. It pulled high 180's on Neil's dyno. If it runs all winter this year without too many problems. Maybe do some more porting and throw some compression to her. Don't worry Glen, I ride McBride so I will either be wrenching in your shop or renting from you when she craps out! LOL

That is something that I have been thinking about too. If and when the rear cooler by itself is not sufficient, I have a front cooler ready to install.

What did this sled start out as? Did you remove any coolers?

It started as a 2003.5 mxz-x 800, the cooler in it is 5ft long x 9" wide. As far as volume goes I never did check it. It did have a front cooler aswell, but when I went to the 2.25 track it no longer fit. So if the front cooler needs to go back in, I will have to drop some teeth on the drivers. I don't have a clue what I would need for volume as far as cooling, I was just going to take it out locally and put it through the paces while watching the temp.

Yah you shouldn't have any issue temp wise as when i've put them into summit chasis's we never had to change the cooling system as far as amount of cooler space.

Glen do you remember what guys ended up running for drivers and gearing. What made people the happiest in the steep and deep. I don't mind gearing low, as I nolonger have any interest in doing 100mph across a lake.

You are running a stock doo track right? Cause then you would want the 9tooth drivers and a really good starting poit for gears would be 45t bottom 19t top gear.

This doesn't belong in this thread, but a big shout out to Neil @ NPP. What a wicked job on these pipes, no rubbing or melting!!!

I was hoping you were going to say that, becasue that is what I put in. What about the 13wide chain, is she going to blow apart the first time she hooks up?
