ok I went right to the cop station here in Sicamous! this is what the cops said

there is no law as long as it is properly secured down.....and will stay on the back in a minnor accident! WTF I tried to find out if it has to be tied down with 4 straps or 3????? By the sounds of it this must be a new cop?

I asked him what he considered a minnor accident? this is a cop that really had no answer! but I know he will never right a ticket for unsecure load! he said as long as it dont move around your good to go! but he didnt say how much it could move around! I use a super clamp on the front with 2 straps on the rear.......I think it is a overkill!

I do believe there is an officer or two who frequent this sight, correct me if I'm wrong here. The law often reads like "secured in a reasonable manor", this is due to the fact that not all situations can be forseen. I mean let's face it we have all seen some pretty serious red neck stuff done out there. A little common sense can go a long way, and if your unsure ask someone who has experience. I have avoided alot of rookie mistakes this way in my first year of sledding.

you must have bugged him just before breky i think though as long as it is tied down good his buddies wont be ginen u a ticket hopefully

did you get his name? this way if a cop is giving you a hard time you can say well constable so & so said this.
