MCPX or the Nano is a good next step. I went to the 130 thinking it was a next step up but it's a POS. Constantly replacing parts.

Did I mention I have a 130 for sale, lots of spare parts

Yeah the online forums seem to be pretty consistent in saying the 130x is problematic.

Going to master the Nano first, and perhaps move up to the 300CFX or a 450. Id like to figure out collective pitch without too much fear of lopping off my own head.

After reading this last year I decided to stay away from the guys flying the 450 around in the shop. Roman Pirozek Jr: Man decapitates himself with his own remote-control helicopter | Mail Online

The new 200 SR looks decent, if it ever comes available this year. I'll probably just stick to the planes for now, cheaper to fix and replace.

Hey buddy, thanks for the reply. I'll steer clear of the 130, but that 200 looks pretty cool!

I used to do the glow engine plane thing until our local field closed - man that was fun. May have to get a RTF electro plane again to mess around with. Any suggestions for something small to zip around with?

The Beast is a fun plane to mess around with. Usually fly them around the neighborhood over the houses, small enough it won't take out any windows. I've tested this several times. LOL

Got this in the mail. Seems like a decent radio. The Nano is fun to fly, but man it can get away from you fast. The sure made the landing gear and canopy cheap; lasted one day. A lot to learn now that it's a CP heli. Got a backflip out of it today lol. I don't know how guys fly full 3D on those big birds....there is so much to it.

trust at me, those little things are HARD to fly. The bigger the heli the more stable they are. If you learn to 3d that lil fella you can fly anything.

Yeah it's a challenge for sure, but didn't find it too bad, it's kind of twitchy no doubt. And when that isn't enough; flip on stunt mode...pretty cool.

I find the mechanics of heli's interesting so maybe that helps. I find flying a controlled back and forth is tough.

Glad I bought a decent radio and a BNF heli as opposed to RTF. I like the radio.

Sweet video. For me, I like it for the mechanics of flight and how its more of a challenge than pushing up and down, forward and back.

Hey sumx, where do you most of your parts from? Any online retailers that are good (canada preferred for the sake of shipping)? Already ordered new landing skid, what a POS.

Maybe not the cheapest but fast shipping and painless transactions.

I've learned to order in bulk for parts like landing gear etc. For the 130 I think I have almost enough spare parts to rebuild it 3 or 4 times. If you haggle with the local hobby store enough they usually knock the parts down to around the same price as online or close enough that the shipping would make it same price. Sometimes superglue can be your friend!

Hey guys. I flew a friends quad this weekend and.... Now I want one. So I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone is interested.

I have a Blade 300x I'm looking to sell to help fund my quad I want to buy.

It's a 300x with brand new Lynx main and tail blades, carbon fiber tail boom, Lynx carbon fiber frame brace, low battery alarm mounted on the frame. And two brand new eflight batteries (2 flights on each) as I packed all the other ones in our storage container by accident because we are moving. I also have a few extra parts.

$225 as Bind-N-Fly

And a Spektrum DX6i with a backlight display upgrade, auto countdown timer w/audio & vibration alarm (heli mode/plane mode) and a battery saver alarm incase you leave the radio on. Rechargeable batteries and wall charger.

$125

I am going to build a Dji f450 with the Naza Lite, and a dx9. Don't really want to upgrade the radio from my Dx6i as I love it and have added a few extras that make it great. But as you know a 3 position switch is needed for some of the GPS return home settings.

Do you think my prices are fair for this stuff? If rather see it goto a S&M buddy, but if I have to I will post it on Kijiji.

I was just a the hobby store and the f550 looks cool as well as the team black sheep discovery. A little rich for my blood to start with.

What flight controllers are you using ?

Funny you ask, I might be interested. Been looking at the 300x for awhile but wanted to get the nano figured first. Let me see if I'm allowed to spend my money lol.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the interest, I have sold the Nano QX and the dx6i. So I just have the 300x for sale still.

I will take a bunch of pictures and round up all my spare parts and batteries for it.
