I just ordered a bunch of spare stuff online, plus a blade msr that was on sale for 60.00. Hopefully I wont be so nervous about crashing the little guy. I heard they are pretty tough.
The WL Toys V911 i've been learning on is super tough and really cheap on parts. I think its about 5 bucks for a 10 pack of blades from Hong Kong. Takes about 3 weeks to get but hey. Gotta do an order here shortly, finally broke my two spare blades. Even canopies are a couple bucks, etc.
Sumx54, what are your thoughts on the Blade 300X?
the 300x crashes well with minimal damage for being a bigger class heli. The only problem I have ever had with it was the main shaft came loose and shifted the rotor head up causing it to disengage the tail rotor belt and ending in a significant fast, high altitude crash. Basically started spinning mad circles into the ground. It turned out that it was just a cap screw that was loose. I should of went over the entire heli when it was new and made sure everything was tight and locktited. It comes set up from factory very well and minimal tuning is required to fly it out of the box. It comes with a very good receiver it's an AR7200BX (beast x) which can be used in any helicopter build out there. In the past I've bought just the BX for $250 without the helicopter. I'm in the middle of switching my bigger helicopters from flybar to flybarless wich requires the BX receiver. I thought I might as well buy the whole package and after I crash the **** out of it I'd just transfer the receiver over to another one of my Helis but I'm actually kind of fond of the 300X I just keep fixing it cause it's fun to fly. I'm no expert when it comes to flying. I have a hard time flying with an audience. I can fly it inverted and do loops with it is all and that's taking me a very long time to learn. If you get serious into this hobby just remember at first when your buds are over and you're smashing a few beers and the heli comes out.... Prepare for a bad wreck. Bwhahahahahaha.
Hey Sumx, what would you go with- 130X, McPX BL or 300x? What would be the easiest to fly and most stable?
i may buy the 350 qx for Go Pro in future. Looks rad.
300x. I find as a general rule that the bigger the bird, the more stable they are. On the flip side...the bigger they are the harder they fall.
I have the MCPX, and it is not the most stable bird, well it's actually more like a bee. But if something goes wrong, you hit the throttle cut switch, and it just falls from the sky, bounces on the ground and good to go right away again. Bigger bird would have at least 100$ in damage doing that. Plus I can fly it inside. I haven't flown my 400 in almost 3 years, though I'm not nearly into the hobby the same as I used to be.Hey Sumx, what would you go with- 130X, McPX BL or 300x? This is a blatant lie,.. this does not work with inverted flying
It turns into a lego do-it yourself kit

Got the blade msr. What a great little heli to learn with. I have been flying it the house, crashing time and time again. Have not broke a thing. Bet I have crashed it 50 times.
