I am looking at getting a set of clothes for the quad/rhino that is not a rain suit, what works and what does not? Thinking klim but choking on the price. Even a goretex rain suit? Appreciate your comments and suggestions.

I wear Alpinestar Tech 7 boots, FLY gloves, and a Fleshgear Jersey and biking pants. Never too hot. Although jerseys and pants to differ too much from brand to brand, alpine stars are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They arent exactly cheap but your feet will thank you.

Good choice avoiding the rain suit. They get so hot sitting on a quad for any length of time.

Someone mentioned neoprene bibs one time,.. but I don't remember who it was.

Neoprene is great in cooler tempertures when riding in water.

Personally find Thor gear flexible for the cooler temps with lots of zips for venting. Hotter temps go for shorts and a cooler.

The only thing I wear is a good pair of sweats, T shirt and Helly Hansons, they are tough, keep you dry and is also a good wind break.

Usually I just wear "wal-mart special" clothes (cheap). Cause by the time I get home the washing machine would have to work overtime just to get my clothes clean. AND I don't really like MUD !!!!!! :d LOL

what kind of self respecting quadder are you? your ride isn't pink is it(just kidding at least I hope you are kidding) Chest waders from wholesports is what I chose to wear with sweats underneath because you, well, you know sweat( a lot) .Either a rain jacket on cold wet days or an old ski jacket on warmer days. Bring water, lots.

I'm cheap, I use something like nylon water resistant track pants and I spray them with rain guard water replant, and where shorts underneath in the summer, and sweat pants in the fall, snowmobile suit in the winter. insulated rubber boots in the fall and early spring. When I get home I use the hose to wash off most of the mud, then the washing machine.Wal-Mart here I come. Never sweat in them stay cool and dry.

I have some Thor pants that are really good, with a Marks Workwear House coat that is waterproof ( it works really good too, has the matching bibs, but I didn't get them as I already had waterproof pants). And if we're in the slop, or its raining, I'll wear my neoprene bibs with my Marks coat. The Mark's stuff goes on sale fairly often as is quite reasonable. I think I paid 80.00 for my coat on sale. Can't recall what the bibs were though.

Good ole Dunlop steel toed rubbers and stormtech splash pants over a pair of sweats. Unless u go swimming, which I seem to do on occasion, u usually stay fairly dry and clean. For a jacket it's just some cheap wind breaker.

Having bought several sets of the cheap gear, and then finally springing for KLIM stuff, I'm going to strongly advise you to bite the bullet and go with the KLIM gear right from the start. You won't regret it, and by the time you go through 2 or 3 sets of the cheap stuff that doesn't really work to begin with, you've more than paid for the KLIM gear.

Once you've ridden with the KLIM stuff, you won't go back. In fact, you'll find yourself wearing it all the time.

As an alternative, a top quality gore-tex rain suit the 100MPH gear from Bass Pro would work, but it's nearly the same price and not engineered anywhere near as well for off road use.
