high centered? wtf are we talking about here? atvs? going over logs? what?

you hold a sidehill by adjusting your foot position on the xp. generally its much further back than most think. if its washing out your to far back move forward. not hard.

You obviously ride meadows and do straight up climbs.

i can somewhat see what your feeling here, i rode a buddys sled this year that had a 3 inch track on with no skid, we were in deep snow and i found out that it would also get high centered just behind the pannels and the start of the boards, but for sidehilling it worked fine and could do it anywhere poos could.... the solution to the high centered is the skid,... i also had the 880 there that day with stock drivers and bakers skid, that sled never had the problems my buddys did and just kepted motoring, we could not belevie the difference, give that a try before you throw in the towel

Fred what your saying makes alot of sense if the chaincase is extended. I could see how it would lift the sled higher off the snow. Without extending the case, obviously a skid that lifted the chassis higher would cause a steeper attack angle and cause trenching. For these conditions I actually did get the best results by tightening the front skid shock and letting t the limiter strap but in the deep it did trench badly. Rear drop brackets and stiff rear springs also were necessary to keep the front end down. There is no point spending the money for the Racers Edge suspension and longer chain case at this point though because the machine will have 5000 kms on it by the end of the season., If I could afford an extra sled to play with this coming season, it would be a XM.

SnoPro if you need a shop tester send me a free XM and I will tinker with it to see what it can doo!

Pretty comical reading through this thread reading all the posts from guys admitting they don't know how to ride. How did anyone even manage to go past the cabin before the pro came out. Must have been scary.

I'm usually waiting at the cabin for chunk to go pound a trail in for me because I'm scared of all the fresh snow.

Just in the process of snow checking a new white LE 163 pro for the wife/spare sled should be sweet for the wife/spare sled and she'll defiantly need a 3" 174/High comp head/NOS, cause the wife will need this to keep up:Cool9:.

That quote makes you look awfully ignorant. Coming from a guy who owns two m8's and a pro.

If this was true and you were honest with yourself, you'd be riding a Pro next season.

if he needed training wheels to pretend he could ride while sacrificing power, chassis reliability, solid handling and the rep of being a poo poo loyal.....im sure he would
