Whitecourt/Windfall Alberta Cell service?

Hello fellow riders

I am planning a trip to do some ATV riding around the Windfall/Whitecourt area. Does anyone know how the cell service is out in the bush in the area. Went on a trip last year west Rocky Mountain House and had zero service. (Enless you went up a tree that is). Also how is the riding in the area this year(2012)? Well any other info about riding the area would also be stellar.

Coverage is not great anywhere west of Whitecourt. It's non existant out in virginia hills a bit better in some areas of windfall but nothing you can rely on.

Even in Whitecourt it is rather intermittent. Certain areas of my house I drop calls. Basement is surprisingly good. That said, I take calls all the time (24hrs) for work, and they can always reach me. Windfall is pretty good, but at Kaybob it rapidly drops off.
