hear me out here....
if you increase the spark plug gap to the point just before you break the plug, you will see crazy hp gains due to the increased spark and ignition... 162:1 premix, of course youd still need the loud can for additional bottom end though

Good thinking guys - I was also thinking that if I reduced the helmet to pipe distance by plumbing the pipes up to my handlebars, I would increase the sound level as well - do you think this will work?

and if you run the pipe "through the bars" you also can delete the bar warmers less power draw on mag= more power at track right.

Yep, it's all in the aerodynamics!

Now ur getting to the really big stuff. airodienamnic mods such as visor delete will make the most HP gain. NFMH is the best you can get, but there are more cost effective choices, such as taping a party hat to the front of your helmet to cut the wind resistance.

port your reeds to get more intake sound. don;'t let your pipe have all the fun! Loud is safe!

This'll get more air in to your silinders so more air out to your exhaust so it'll be louder so you'll have more hp. It's just that easy. I don't know why I have to keep esplaining this too you!

well if your going to pull all the tricks outta the bag, you might as well go with a ball shaped piston to minimize piston/wall contact, thus bringing down cylinder heat thus in with conjunction with a water cooled exhaust pipe regulated with a 180 degree thermostat, u can run leaner and maybe pull some more rpm which would enhance the sound of a rice rocket muffler. But i'm still stuck on the idea of handle bar exhaust system, i think it's doable, just run some 2" pipe swedged down to 7/8" diameter and put on some green carbon fibre grips.

I love the idea of handlebar exhaust too, and I'm really thinking of doing this with a set of 10 speed handlebars, so that the flames shoot out towards the back, that would be so bad ass!!!!! Not sure about the extra steering effort that's going to be needed with the new bars, but I figure that I can always port my ski tips to reduce some of the steering effort needed.

NOW you're talkin' Modman!!! I like your Zoomie idea, nuthin' like a set of Zoomies popping off to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck! Plus don't forget to add a little nitro-methane injection kit for that seat of the pants feel when you line up against your buddys. And hey, tee off a couple of the zooms with some solenoids thru your 10 speed handles and voila, instant handwarmers!! Screw the bean cans, they're just a pain in the ass!! Go Big or Go Home!! Higgins.

Just make sure that the can has a good set of muffler bearings, and get the green power band, should be good for at least 19HP.

I don't think I would run the exhaust through the handlebars. Wedging it down to 5/8" inside diameter will cause serious restriction and make it sound like a whistle. What I would do is eliminate the handlebars all together, and run a chrome chainlink steering wheel instead. increase the steering shaft to a 3" pipe, and run it straight out the center of the steering wheel. It won't sidehill worth a sh!t, but who cares, you'll be so styling cruising around the cabin that you won't even want to hit the alpine.

I would really recommend routing the exhaust down the tunnel and through a big spoiler, it should really help with the aerodynamics, plus the spoiler will help you highmark like a pro!
