Do you know something that we don't. She answers to the "speaker of the house" about her absence...did he give you some info that he is not reporting to the rest of us??
And I'm not sticking up for her.....I would prefer she be at work doing what we taxpayers pay her to do....I just feel that she is entitled to lay low till the smoke clears....can you imagine the ribbing her daughter must be facing at school?
My point is, if this happened to me, I would be doing whatever was possible to keep my family out of the spotlight until this calmed down.
If I was in the same position and my employer allowed me to stay clear of the media attention for a while...I would be doing it....my well being and my family's well being comes 1st.
The best way to stay out of the spotlight is to get at it and do the job you get paid to do. By taking an extended vacation all she is doing is drawing more attention to herself. JMO
