Depends what your $$$ is, Take the MGN Grand, or the lexor, Belagio or the Wynn, more economical would be Planet Hollywood, Flamigo, Ceasar`s. Probably the cheapest is the Imperial Palace, which I have never stayed at. And I think it`s one of the oldest. But I will say they have the best breaky smorg out there.

P.S. Don`t forget to load up on collector cards, and have a great time!

I have been to Vegas, well too many times to count.
If this is your first time, stay somewhere on the strip, middle of the action. Enjoy it, and know darn well that while one hotel seems close, it can be a damn long walk. especially at 4am with a couple of grandpa's sasparilla's in your gut.

Recently we have been renting a car, and staying a bit south on the strip, in a timeshare thing. cheap as crap, and then we can drive, and make our own fun. WAYYY more to vegas than just the main strip.
But HAVE FUN!!!
do not wake up to a tiger in your room. Nothing good comes of that

This is a condo south of the strip with a casino next door. We rent a car and stay off the strip. Remember collect the cards.;)

Stayed at the Monte Carlo last time but kept going to New York-New York every night. That is a happening hotel with Coyote Ugly and the girls dancing on the poker tables downstairs. Went for Pina Colada smoothies every night. Outback Steakhouse is right across the street to.

Was there last month, stayed at Planet Hollywood, price was good, room was very good and in the heart of the strip, I would recommend it. Lots of nice hotels, the 2 news one look really nice, DSC02146.jpg this was the view from our window, the Bellagio fountains, I thought I had some night pictures of the show but cant find them now. Lots of great places to stay, but as others have said rent a car, there is so much more to Vegas than the strip. We were there for 14 nights and still didnt see it all.

Been there once two years ago and will definitely return! We stayed ato treasure island. Liked it a lot, but spent lots of time at ny ny. Will likely stay there next. Gillys at the ti is amazing food.... Still makes my mouth water when I think of it!

Have fun! Don't fall for the free booze while gambling... It's not really free....

Collect the collector cards...............................then put them in your buddies luggage before you head home. Lmao! Watch out for the "lifelike" statues on the street corners. HaHa.

Monte Carlo seems to be it for us. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The smorg was good also... and close to everything. Plus free tram that will take you to the next 3 hotels I believe :)

Try the VIP suite at the Wynn or the Monte Carlo. The penthouse suites at the Monte Carlo have private elevators which is awesome, and the rooms are very nice as well. The Wynn is great as well you get treated like a king, and if you get your suite facing the strip the Wynn has a nicer view than the Monte Carlo.

Make sure you take a helicopter to the grand canyon. On the way you fly over the Hoover dam which is pretty cool then when you get to the grand canyon you can land in the bottom and hike around. I believe the helicopter company is called sunset helicopters. It's not cheap $1200 a person but its well worth it.

We stayed at the Signature by MGM Grand. Beautiful hotel but a bit of a walk to the strip or anywhere. Make sure you check out the MOB experience at the Tropicana. Best attraction that we did.

We go lots and try different hotels each time. The Aria is really nice however last time we went we stayed at the Mirage and asked if there was any way to get a room upgrade and the lady said sure. So they upgraded us to the top floor in a bigger room and $100 food credit. All for free and just asking.

So no matter where you stay, it never hurts to ask for free things ;)

Stayed at the Golden Nugget last time I went. It was really cool to be on Fremont street and see old Vegas but honestly it's a pretty small area. I will stay on the strip next time even though the gambling is looser downtown.

Agree with most everyone on here when they say try and centre yourself on the strip. I find that TI (Treasure Island) could be your best mesh between quality and $$$. MGM Grand is nice but it isn't in the heart of the strip. Stay away from Excalibur!!! But where we have been staying recently is the Flamingo. It's an older hotel, but if you ask for an upgraded room they aren't that bad. It is consistently one of the most economical, center of the strip, and have a pretty good pool and atmosphere. I was gonna say that it was close to the blue collar casino O'Sheas which was good for cheap drinks and beer pong (LOL) but unfortunately it is being torn down...Just my 2 cents.
