If you plan on doing alot of the touristy attractions, buy the las Vegas Power Pass. You can get it online at costco.ca. We bought the two day pass was about80 bucks, but it gets you into a bunch of attractiona for free. Well worth it when you are paying anywhere from 15-25 bucks an attraction. Worse thing about the pass is you have to use it on two consecitive days. We were there for six days so we jammed in as much as possible. Vegas is a fun place, but make sure you got the cash to spend if you are going to stay and play on the strip. The worst buffet was the MGM Grand at 33 bucks a person, the best was Circus Circus at 14.99.

If you want to save a few bucks with the meals, buy the 24 hour buffet pass. Get it before a late breakfast the 1st day, say 9.30 am, have lunch around 2pm, then have dinner around 8 or so. The next day hit up the breakfast buffet at 8.30 or so, you get 4 meals in. The pass we got was good at 6 different hotels. We did this a few times on the trip.

We have stayed at the riviera and was awesome clean friendly staff good food etc
stayed at the Excalibur last ttime and never again lousy food at every restaurant worst at the buffet. Took 4 hrs after we got ther to get the room ready for us at least, we arrived at 9 pm, finally get ready to go to bed and pull back the sheets and voila a huge like 6-8" round blood stain in the middle of the bed. They did comp our stay in an upgraded room but wa still not worth it to stay there

No yellow crime scene tape in the room? Ted Danson and Elizabeth Shue weren't in the hall with a big camera and a blue light scanner?:spy:

I know the thread has turned a bit to food, but i gotta mention. The Seafood buffet at the Rio, is the sheeet!!!!!!
Yes its a bit more $$, i think $50 per person. But if all you want to eat are lobster tails, have at it. Pretty damn good

The best breakfast buffet is downtown at the mainstreet station.

Just Moved from Vegas, lived there for 4.5 years. Treasure Island is a great place to stay, need to do a steak dinner in a old school Vegas restaurant, try Circus
Circus steak house, locals rate it #1, need to see Red Rock, the damn and new bridge, fountains at Belagio and just watch the wildlife on the strip. Remember you can walk on the strip with your drink, so you will always be hydrated! Race track has a lot of fun things to do, expensive. Try Pole Position in town, it is next to the Palms, it is the indoor carting the McGrath, Busch and a bunch of other own, very fun, very fast electric carts.
