Why the hate on for Yamaha's? Dont like it, ride something else then. I had turbo my RX1 since early 05. Sure it breaks down, its heavy, not great in the trees, etc, etc. But I enjoy riding it, yep boost if fun somedays. There is days its not fun. Such is life, take the good with the bad.

I don't have deep pockets, bought a built sled for about 1/3 what was into it. And it was less than your new doo. I have put over 3000 mile on in 2 seasons with only your normal wear and tear items. As for my sled riding me it doesn't happen.

if you really think its so easy to just point a chute and climb. man you do not have a clue....

You said it JBB..

IF you are really that great of a rider that thinks its point and shoot...step up too the plate and see if you can doo it at 45 miles an hour up one with your little 800, you will be lucky to make it to the gut with out having to turn out, let alone hit 45mph track speed...lol...

some peoples kids....

fixed it for ya teth air lol

haha, actually Yammy's have a place, it's just that place does not include trees, only chutes and meadows. I am glad that our group moved beyond highmarking as the important part of who is king when on a sled. We rarely climb long pulls anymore unless it is technical and not an avy risk. Cliff faces full of trees is the new sport and now yammys are like Harleys, just for old men.

I'm trying but the young guys are hard to keep up with. They are never on 2 skis at the same time if that best describes it, well maybe when on the trailer. lol I have a secret plan this year, as they sit around and play video games, stay up all night and get fat, I will be working out, get lots of sleep and eat right. Oh forget it that's not enough.

I'm not sure why any Yammy guys would take offence...they likely never bought or built them to ride in the trees. It is a myth that they can't be rode in the trees anyways. The guys that preach the word have likely never thrown a leg over them and tried any technical riding anyway. I personally didn't have any major issues whenever we had to break trail for all of the 2 stroke guys in to turtle through the trees when it was 4 ft deep. lol
I'm a switch hitter now as I ride both a 2 and 4 stroker and they are both fun in their own way.
All the keyboard banter is entertainiing this time of year anyway.

Has anyone tried riding a new 800 Cat in the trees? they practically weigh identical to what a Nytro weighs ready to ride. How come no one picks on them?
