The stock is down almost 7% today, and down 60% in a year. Hopefully they can turn it around after the move.

Imagine watching all of this while having a number with six zeros to the right of it with no decimal “in due to you...

Yea buddy. Been some sleepless nights here. I’ve only got 5 guys an 5 trucks. The most ever out in my company. I’m small potatoes. But I’ll keep the 305 instead of a 383 in my boat if it means not laying a guy off an keeping them working. That’s 5 family’s. Just keeping it real with you.

With that mentality I’d be shocked if those 5 people weren’t loyal to you in every way as a business owner. Nice touch on the civility side and ethics.

Off topic, but is it hard to get a visa to go work in the states? Or citizenship?

It can be tough, the easiest way to work down here is to get with a company that’s based in Canada. That way you can get an E-2 visa. It also helps if you have specialized skills or career. Being a supervisor or manager is also a good thing as that way you can increase the amount of jobs that your company can provide to Americans. The last thing they want is for a foreigner to take a job away from America citizens.

The writing has been on the wall for a while on this one. Last year they announced that they no longer have a head office, just regional offices. Now moving to US, not surprised. I’m sure taxation has something to do with it too.

Some seem shocked ?? This has been the talk for a couple years if the election didn’t go right !!
I work for a couple small junior companies and they aren’t going to do much at all due to no investors in these times .
What they are doing we have to keep costs right up to date and manage the costs very closely .
Have been through this before and it’s going to get worse before it gets better I am afraid .
305 is way better them oars Gunner ?? Smart man buds .

Devon Energy was also just waiting to sell off their Canada assets which CNRL bought.
Seems like there is a serious trend going on here?

I am sure you have all heard when something happens with a company that it was a "Corporate decision."
This always boggled me when town hall meetings were held and there was never any answers given to the employees.
Management was left in the dark also, but were left to try and xplain what was happening.
Just always left everyone wonder if they were were on the pink slip list or if and when the next pay cuts were coming..

It is going to be a struggle current employees and future generations to sustain a good career on the O and G industry.
Just sad and frustrating that we have the black gold and cannot get a fair price.

There is apparently no easy solution to this problem with the global markets and our own country bickering between provines.

Maybe one day (not in my lifetime), Canada will unite and get on board the O and G problem.

This is just like having a smoldering campfire on a cold day!
People will leave to go to the campfire that is buring hot and provides heat!

It’s that same when his old man was in power “Trudeau “through the late 70’s and early 80’s.
Only difference this time is the bank interest rates are low and companies are able to re-finance and keep going just servicing the debt .

Like to add as well ?
The herd is always running in the wrong direction. Lol
Good money to be made in the future.

Its going to be tough times in all industries, except power generation and transmission, I predict. We have a corrupt PM with a eastern agenda that includes foreign oil.
North America seems blind to where their belongings originate from, with too many sheeple in Canada that are too quick to say “”Im sorry”” .

Socialists would say I’m fear mongering I spose.
Im definitely concerned.

An excerpt from Macleans Political Insider.

No-Encana-do: The threat of large Canadian companies uprooting themselves and moving south of the border can drive politicians to distraction. See: JustinTrudeau / SNC-Lavalin, 2018 to now. So the decision by Encana to move its base from Calgary to the U.S., and change its name to remove any hint of its Canuck roots, sent predictably large shockwaves through the halls of power in Alberta and Ottawa. Despite the company's assurance that no jobs will be lost, the symbolism was huge: As global business news site Bloomberg put it,‘Canada’ Is Becoming a Dirty Word in the Oil Patch.
Western premiers didn't need another justification to target Justin Trudeau, but they got one anyways, with Alberta Premier Jason Kenney accusing Trudeau of purposefully trying to kill the oil patch. “It’s not just about Encana. It’s about the broader decline of the Canadian energy industry which I think is a deliberate policy of the Trudeau government," he told the Globe, even if the company's CEO Doug Suttles said "unequivocally, no" his decision was "not a political move."
In a tweet Jason Markusoff summarized Kenney's growing list of demands to Trudeau,post-Encana, which now includes replacing Catherine McKenna as environment minister and adopting Andrew Scheer's proposed energy corridor plan. So far,Trudeau has not spoken publicly about Encana's move, or Kenney's ultimatums (or anything much at all, really).

The last sentence right there is one of the biggest disheartning parts of this mess. Our great PM hasn't said one word about watching a multi billion dollar company pack up and walk across the 49th parallel. We can be sure he was informed of this way before the general public was and chose to do nothing.

Clear to see who are what would run the Countries.. Banks and the East have the control because we've allowed..

Our money and investments are what fund the Liberal propaganda machine...

Global news has business news attached to every newscast and its sickening to hear how much our banks make.
