Thought we weren't going to disscuss this...lolwhich way? two ways into that zone.
The back end of Beaver Creek, especially if there's some fresh pow.
Not sure on the spelling but "Jos pass" in revy is not the place to take rookies. A Super long chute going in and then the **** show begins. It's a sweet area to ride once you get in.
The first rule of riding Joss is you don't tell people about Joss.

I wouldn't want to be the guy breaking trail into Holly Grail!

Following Carl Kuster into the nether regions of Eagle Pass. Lol. I remember going into Glenogle years ago and will never go there again. Its a death trap with 26 active avy paths on the main trail going in. Going in the back way of Lions Head at West Yellowstone is tricky as well.
as for glenogle, I was scared just driving my truck in there in summer! I call it "avy valley"
that first decent way the fark above the creek with crazy slide paths on a narrow trail !
the sled shops told me about the place but highly recommend NOT going in there coz if it slides you may not be going home that night.
then the trail climbs quite a ways up and goes thru the middle of a high cut block? hello mega avy ...
no they are not keeping it to themselves, I know where they ride and that aint it.
the road is maintained to the 14km bridge, but i drove my truck to the 17km mark and the road was so overgrown, then we walked over avy debri, wash outs and it was just getting worse and worse. the alpine was probably only 8km away but with the logging roads being on the side of the mtn I doubt it would be passable, strait up the creek seemed a better option on a deep snowpack.
this is not one of my secret stashes, and I really hope some one can get in there again as the terrain looks phat!
google earth it, the whole area is a dream come true and not that long of an approach really, its just the axcess that has me stumped.
it must have been fun in 2005 when they were actively loggin back
i figured up the creek would be the only way in,BUT the climb would be a loooong time exposed on both sides...
i was there long before Google earth so at the time it was topo maps, but have looked at it a few times since, and for anyone reading this, do what ever blows your hair back but I just don't think the place is worth the risk!! My two bits!!
