The writing on the drywall is to go on the backside, in these photos the sheets need to be flipped over. its a rougher paper on the backside and would be tough to tape or paint.
Exactly, the back side or brown side is not the finished surface. Seeing how your using a lifter, easy to undo and flip over

Free insulation and drywall is always good.
Oh, and I’m left handed which always explains backwards...lol

Anybody can be right handed, it's only the truly gifted that are out in left field. :)

Free building materials are usually good...used some free-bees in mine as well.

not only that but the sheets are beveled at the edges to allow for mudding.

The sheets have vinyl on the other side. They were from an office building.
The drywall will have to remain as installed.

Oh I see, its in a garage and it was free.
A good primer then a texture finish will hide it all. Do the whole ceiling first before the walls when boarding, its easier. Then do the walls.

Those vinyl sheets are made for old offices and atco trailer.
if new...… you would glue the middle and screw just the perimeter of the edge of the board, then put a T strip of vinyl to cover the screws.
Even used, I think I would have went finished side out, it would be a lot brighter.
If you are going to paint, go to Consolidated gypsum, or Winroc. A drywall supply company, buy a product called T.I.P.S. (Total Interior Primer Sealer)
Rent a airless from home depot and make it white :)
You can use a roller, but an airless is about 70% efficient with your paint

I apologize for the pics being on their sides, I don't know why that happened.

Started face lift at Christmas..over the holidays. Repainted everything in garage...

023.jpg

Free-bee 3/4 sheathing off-cuts from work...made a shelf 19 years ago when I did a lot more painting/airbrushing...

009.jpg

Bought three sheets 3/4 ply good one side and made some cupboard doors...to cover up the crap and hide some sins.

011.jpg

This is where I'm at now...

008.jpg

Floor was to be redone in April, covid cancellation...

009.jpg

...180 sq ft isn't a lot of room to work...extra tool box from work didn't help. ATV's still fit which works for me...
