Well..........the red wings should be first, lots of teams would be if they met chicago, colombus, and st louis 8 times each year.

Thats why Detroit never goes anywhere in the playoffs, they dont know what it is like to work that hard.

Summitric,

Making it to the seventh game of the stanley cup finals and then losing is glory days? :nono: That was more like heartbreak:( And teery, the Red Wings have also won three cups in the last 10 years. What do you say to that bud? :D

they sucked for 42 years before they won those three....we're still on a better streak time wise. when the wings pull 5 cups in 7 years let me know. give Mr. Katz a few years, Alberta will be known as "Death Valley" in the NHL again.....:D
GO OILERS!!!

Go oilers! I am in Calgary for the weekend and my buddy got us some flames tickets at ice level so I amgoing to the dark side for a game. I have oilers season seats and missed todays game in oil country. The tickets went to a good cause as a young boy who never has seen an oilers game or nhl game got to go, so it was worth missing that one. It is still alive the hopes of all the oilers fans.

Now...hopefully Garon is in for next game. 3 goals in five minutes and Mctavish left Roli in...give me a break.

Also....wtf happened with the empty net goal in todays game? Instead of the penalty, they just award goals now??? Not complaining, it was just rather odd.

Garon is apparently injured at the moment. Lower body they are saying. Hence Roli getting all the starts.

Good point Stevie Y. I agree that Detroit is extremely strong. Wtih Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Lidstrom. The only thing I wonder about ( for these playoffs ) is the the consistant goaltending. Especially the endurance required for a long playoff run - can Hasak (at 43 years old) and Osgood hold on ? After the Flames - I will be hoping for Detroit - I cheer for Osgood - he is from Peace River Alberta. Good luck Stevie Y and don't give in to the Oiler fan abuse. As you know - if the Oilers make it in - most likely it will be the colossal battle of Edmonton versus Detroit.
