Here's some pics of how to diagnose coolant leaks on the RT 1000.
1000 diag.JPG 1000 diag2.JPG Seal Coolant Area and apply compressed air and some Smoke and watch what happens.Apparently It's a head gasket leak but why more than once.Anybody got any ideas.
Now I have to rebuild this engine because the original problem was never corrected I just want to fix it right the first time for Me so I can enjoy riding this SLED again as it was a lot of fun until it broke.
Any help would be appreciated.

It leaks cause the rts are a c u next Tuesday to get the orings to seat properly. I used some be fix oring grease, can get you a tube next wed night ride if you want, and stretched the ring a bit then hurry the fawk up and get the head torqued on. Make sure ring doesn't spin when you put it in the groove.
Groove has real short lands and oring pops off real easy
Good luck Philster

Just did my head O-rings too, lost one last Sunday. My egt's were really hot on the trail though so I think that contributed. Finally put my boondocker on so I'll fatten it up a bit and hope for the best. If you had a nasty coolant leak it might have contaminated the oil in the rod bearing, bad news bears.
